The
consumption
of
insects
(entomophagy)
is
attracting
attention
for
economic,
environmental
and
health
reasons.

examined
the
psychometric
properties

novel
Polish
translation
BAOS-2.
A
sample
1183
adults
(898
women,
285
men;
age

=
28.98)
from
Poland
completed
version
BAOS-2,
alongside
appreciation,
pressure
to
conform
appearance
ideals,
self-compassion,
self-esteem,
and
impression
management.
Exploratory
confirmatory
factor
analysis
identified
stable
unidimensional
model
with
all
13
items
retained.
Additionally,
BAOS-2
evidenced
complete
invariance
(i.e.,
through
latent
mean
invariance)
across
gender
identity.
Scores
on
adequate
composite
reliability
and,
in
retest
subsample
(n
260),
showed
four
weeks.
Evidence
convergent,
criterion-related,
discriminant,
incremental
validity
was
very
strong
when
based
observed
scores,
but
weaker
scores.
Whether
at
or
level,
greater
others
consistently
strongly
associated
higher
appreciation.

results
suggest
that
are
robust

confidently
utilised
