Data have become a virtual factor of production, and when integrated with the traditional factors labor, capital, land form digital land, thereby generating multiplier effect that contributes to comprehensive revitalization rural areas. This paper utilizes panel data from 30 provinces (autonomous regions municipalities) in China 2013 2023 employs double machine learning model empirically test impact mechanism digitalization on integration industries. The results indicate villages significantly promote development industries through three direct pathways—digital industry development, information infrastructure, service levels—with this conclusion remaining valid after series robustness tests. A analysis shows facilitate indirect pathways—alleviating urban–rural mismatches, adjusting agricultural–industrial structure, promoting agricultural technological advancement—with still various heterogeneity show there is significant variability how industries, effects being more pronounced major grain-producing eastern compared non-major central-western regions.
