Abstract This study investigated the effects of entrepreneurship and governance quality on global regional economic performance, moderating influence entrepreneurship‐economic performance nexus. The used a panel 109 countries from 2010 to 2022. Prais‐Winsten regression, standard Fixed Effects regression with robust errors, Driscoll Kraay dynamic system GMM were used. Social media is constantly changing the business landscape across all economic sectors. Given this, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are leveraging this to give their businesses a new trend. Data collected from 430 managers SMEs Ghana using structured questionnaire analyzed PLS-SEM. Findings revealed that cost-effectiveness, customer pressure, employees' competence, financial resource availability, leaders' support positively influence adoption, while also impacts SME firms' sustainability. Investigating micro-level determinants of IFRS for SMEs prospective adoption in emerging economies – evidence from Morocco DOI

Purpose This study aims to investigate the determinants influencing prospective adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards for Small and Medium-sized Entities (IFRS SMEs) in Morocco. Design/methodology/approach Framed within theoretical lens Diffusion Innovations (DoI) theory, research employs a two-stage methodological approach using survey 102 Moroccan SMEs. With Principal Components Analysis, new factors were identified while Logistic regression (Logit) assesses likelihood IFRS SMEs’ adoption, focusing on organizational, professional innovation-related variables. Findings The reveals that SMEs perceive as insufficiently aligned with their operational realities, offering limited perceived benefits local context. While there is preference converging internationally recognized standards, respondents advocate contextual adaptations address specific needs. Hypothesis testing suggests none examined had statistically significant impact except facilitating properties standards. Research limitations/implications focuses single country, which may limit generalizability findings other contexts. Practical implications underscore necessity policymakers systemic deficiencies existing accounting framework. Additionally, they should shift from passive enablers active engagement drivers by linking tax incentives measurable milestones rather than providing blanket support. This study aimed to investigate the challenges faced, and strategies adopted by micro-family food businesses (MFFB) in Malaysia examine family's role managing such during COVID-19 crisis. A qualitative research approach was employed, using semi-structured interviews with MFFB owners. The ceased after six participants, ensuring data saturation interpreted data's trustworthiness is explained. findings revealed that faced multiple challenges, including a drop sales, business closure, financial instability, pressure on fixed costs. Besides, this captured several unique survival owners, as generosity towards customers, changes operation, online advertisements, customer satisfaction surveys, maintaining quality prices, initiating takeaway orders, collaboration aggregators. results indicate task management, responsibility, reliance are essential family-owned significant strategies.
