Purpose – This study aims to discuss the ideological form of contemporary Islamic education in Indonesia. investigates phenomenology three Yogyakarta school institutions. Design/methods/approach is a qualitative with phenomenological pedagogical approach. focuses on educational institutions Special Region Yogyakarta: Madrasah Aliyah Unggulan (MAU) Al-Imdad Bantul Yogyakarta, Mu’allimin Muhammadiyah (M3) and SMAIT Abu Bakar Yogyakarta. Purposive sampling snowball techniques were used select informants. Findings found that Superior was an advancement from Nadlotul Ulama. The ideology conservative-religious. cadre fundamental conservatism ideology. has fundamentalist-conservative formalistic-revivalist religious attitude. Research implications/limitations only looks at perspectives institutions. results this can be make recommendations policymakers, particularly Ministry Religion Republic Indonesia, determining direction future development However, aspect thinking. Further research concentrate managerial aspects each institution. Practical implications shed light various characteristics In theory, for developing thought map regarding existing also provides insight into Indonesia’s diversity

This research aims to see and provide the results of an analysis development Islamic education from perspective KH. M. Hasyim Asy'ari. Using post positivism rationalism, data was obtained through documentation, observation interview techniques. The uses deductive inductive analysis, reflective constant comparative typological analysis. show that M Asy'ari as a great scholar has studied several fields study, ranging religious, educational, social, cultural political issues. In contrast religious views some kiai which are sometimes syncretic, Kiai Asy'ari's thoughts on religion tend be puritanical. Likewise, in his education, can categorized progressive is line with figures, especially modernization Indonesia, namely boarding school education. View regarding learning means not only ta'lim al-nafs, but also rabbani, knowledge divided into two types knowledge, hudhuri (ladunni), husuli (kasbi). Meanwhile, view interaction between teachers students ethics ideological, theological transcendent.
