Adventure tourism offers unique experiences while presenting environmental concerns related to resource consumption and waste generation. Studies integrating circular economy (CE) principles in adventure tourism, particularly South Africa, are limited. This research investigates the perspectives of managers owners Small, Micro, Medium Enterprises (SMMEs) on challenges hindering implementation a CE model explores how digital technologies can be leveraged overcome these challenges. The purpose is gain deeper understanding specific barriers faced by companies adopting principles. study rooted an interpretivist epistemological stance. adopts qualitative methodology whereby netnographic tools were used for data collection through 12 online interviews with Mpumalanga. results present solutions provided towards advancing efficiency sustainable resilient pathway industry. By focusing stakeholders within SMMEs, this provides valuable insights more resource-efficient industry Africa. Mpumalanga case successful investigation impact reduction potential practices could beneficial practitioners researchers.
