Abstract Anthropogenic activities have led to a global rise in water temperatures, leading an increased interest how warming affects infectious disease ecology. While most studies focused on individual host-parasite systems, there is gap understanding the impact of multi-host, multi-parasite assemblages natural ecosystems. To address this gap, we examined freshwater eukaryotic parasite communities ten lakes near Konin, Poland: five artificially heated and nearby non-heated “control” lakes. Since 1958, experienced mean annual temperature increase 2°C due hot discharge from two adjacent power plants. We collected seasonal environmental DNA (eDNA) samples surface waters over two-year period applied targeted metabarcoding compare richness distribution parasites across lake types, with focus protists fungi. Using literature searches sequence metadata GenBank, identified putative which included Alveolates, Stramenopiles, basal Fungi Ichthyosporeans, as well their associated hosts. Heated exhibited distinct assemblages, higher parasitic chytrids aphelids particularly during summer, suggesting thermal preferences among some species. A general linear model suggests that chytrid may be partly green algal, diatom- dinoflagellate These findings highlight can drive shifts potentially altering dynamics
