Background: Pro-inflammatory cytokines are implicated in depression caused by both environmental- and alcohol-induced stress. The purpose of the study was to investigate cytokine levels serum hippocampus following induction depression-like behaviors (DLB) either forced swimming test (FST) or ethanol-induced DLB (EID). We also investigated effect prior administration antidepressant drug fluoxetine on animals exposed models DLB. Methods: Animals were pretreated with before inducing DLB, while induced some using FST ethanol different groups rats without pretreatment. ELISA used detect changes (IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α) hippocampus. Results: mean IL-1β IL-6 measured significantly higher EID when compared control group. concentrations reduced pre-treated 5 mg/kg 10 untreated respectively. Conclusions: In conclusion, environment alcohol can induce stress similar intensity, their mechanisms involve activation pro-inflammatory cytokines. Moreover, prevent stress-induced inflammation

Abstract Reactive oxygen species reacts with numerous molecules in the body system causing oxidative damage, which requires antioxidants to ameliorate. Pleurotus ostreatus , a highly nutritious edible mushroom, has been reported be rich bioactive compounds. This study evaluated comparative antioxidant activity and phytochemical contents of five extracts P. : aqueous (AE), chloroform (CE), ethanol (EE), methanol (ME) n-hexane (HE). The composition were determined using standard in-vitro assay methods. Results showed that contained alkaloids, tannins, saponins, flavonoids, terpenoids, phenolics, cardiac glycosides, carbohydrates, anthrocyanins, betacyanins varied amounts. CE had highest flavonoid content (104.83 ± 29.46 mg/100 g); AE gave phenol 24.14 0.02 g; tannin was EE (25.12 0.06 HE amounts alkaloids (187.60 0.28 g) saponins (0.16 0.00 g). Antioxidant analyses revealed best hydroxyl radical 250% at 100 µg/ml ferric cyanide reducing power 8495 µg/ml; ME maximum DPPH (87.67%) hydrogen peroxide scavenging (65.58%) 500 nitric oxide inhibition 65.81% ascorbate peroxidase 1.60 (iU/l). total capacity (5.27 GAE µg/ml) ferrous iron chelating (99.23% while guaiacol 0.20(iU/l). characteristics (IC 50 ) followed order: > HE. Overall, extraction solvent for . high phenolic compounds, makes it source potential candidate development new therapies variety stress-related disorders.

Introduction Bisphenol F (BPF) has been shown to disrupt testicular functions via perturbation of redox balance, while omega-3 fatty acid (O3FA) established exert antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities. Therefore, this study focused on the role associated molecular mechanism O3FA in BPF-induced dysfunction male Wistar rats. Methods Twenty-four (24) rats were randomly grouped after two weeks acclimatization into four (4) groups (n=6/group); vehicle-treated control group, BPF treated group received 30 mg/kg BPF, intervention + 100 (BPF+O3FA-L) 300 (BPF+O3FA-H). All treatment lasted for 28 days. Results Low high doses ameliorated BPF-impaired sperm quality, induced hormonal imbalance, accompanied by a distortion histology elevated injury markers. Furthermore, co-administration with both blunted inflammatory response, apoptosis. Discussions In conclusion, our present findings show that improves BPF-treated improving quality reproductive hormones maintenance balance.

Cannabis leaves contain a diverse range of antioxidants, including cannabinoids, flavonoids, and phenolic compounds, which offer significant health benefits. Utilising cannabis as source antioxidants presents cost-effective approach because they are typically discarded during the cultivation plants for their seeds or fibres. Therefore, this presented study aimed to assess antioxidant activity selected hemp cultivars, such Białobrzeska, Tygra, Henola, based on results obtained with 2,2'-Azino-bis(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid, ferric reducing power, cupric capacity, 2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl assays. The cannabinoid profile was analysed contents cannabidiol (CBD), cannabigerol (CBG), Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC), cannabichromene (CBC), determined chromatographic following variables were tested: impact various extractants (methanol, ethanol, isopropanol), mixtures (50:50, v/v, well extraction methods (maceration ultra-sound-assisted extraction) in obtaining extracts characterised by different profiles. revealed that selection extractant conditions significantly influenced active compounds' efficiency activity. Among tested conditions, ultrasound-assisted using methanol yielded highest profile: CBD = 184.51 ± 5.61; CBG 6.10 0.21; Δ9-THC 0.51 0.01; CBC 0.71 0.01 μg/g potential Białobrzeska leaf extracts.
