Introduction: Stroke is a leading global contributor to mortality and disability. Low‐ middle‐income countries are disproportionately affected account for 87% of stroke‐related disabilities 70% fatalities. The challenges stroke care accessibility in Africa compounded by financial constraints, geographical barriers, inadequate healthcare infrastructure, necessitating the adoption innovative models such as telestroke. Telestroke critical component modern systems. enables real‐time remote assessments, optimizes patient triage hospital transfers, improves efficiency thrombolysis administration, enhances poststroke management mitigating logistical mobility‐related challenges. This demonstrates telestroke’s potential expand access specialized care, improve functional outcomes, address gaps within underserved regions Africa. paper assesses advantageous impact telestroke on management, with aim drawing insights Methodology: scoping review adhered Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Review Meta‐Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. A comprehensive search was conducted across ProQuest, PubMed, Google Scholar, Scopus identify peer‐reviewed studies published English from 2017 2023. ensured inclusion most recent advancements research. Results: initial literature retrieved 881 articles, which 143 duplicates (16.2%) 58 non‐English (6.6%) were removed, followed exclusion 451 nonpeer‐reviewed publications (51.2%) 128 articles (14.5%) unrelated study area, leaving 101 (11.5%) full‐text review. After further screening, 70 excluded not aligning study’s title, objectives, or key terms. resulted 31 (3.5%) being included final analysis, 21 originating outside limited availability high‐indexed, African highlighted research gap, impacting generalizability findings. Conclusion: has demonstrated significant benefits including improved reduced onset‐to‐treatment time, enhanced diagnostic accuracy, increased accessibility, particularly medically regions. However, its implementation faces related ethical concerns, technological regulatory inconsistencies, sustainability, clinician buy‐in. necessitates strategic interventions standardized frameworks, network expansion, sustainable financing, capacity‐building, integration cost‐effective imaging technologies enhance delivery continent.
