Wind energy is a sustainable and forward-thinking investment, harnessing the vast power of wind to generate electricity. Recent decades have seen significant advancements in floating offshore turbines (FOWTs), which hold great potential for expanding infrastructure. While has grown popularity, it raised questions about operations maintenance turbines, particularly those located remote challenging environments. Offshore offers optimal conditions construction flexibility, but FOWTs face complex marine conditions, including turbulent forces, variations, unpredictable weather events. Emergency Mechanical Braking (EMB) commonly used swiftly stop during adverse frequent use can lead structural oscillations, mooring failures, blade damage. These issues result emergency situations, increased downtime, higher costs. One challenge understanding turbine brake system instability cost experimental studies. To address this, our work introduces an iterative method that establishes correlations between component properties (like Young’s modulus friction coefficient), geometric operational parameters, key factors such as frequency intensity. Using finite element analysis eigenvalue analysis, this approach focuses on reducing vibration optimizing braking performance. Our study yielded intriguing results, observation pad thickness, whether through design choices or natural wear, decreases total unstable points shifts instabilities lower frequencies. Ultimately, research highlights importance various parameters instability.

Split Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB) system is significantly used for dynamic material characterization in the range of strain rates 10 2 –10 4 s -1 ; however, there no standard design methodology or readily available technique development this apparatus. Selection of Cotton Fabrics Using EDAS Method DOI

In this paper, a relatively new and mathematically potent tool of MCDM (Multi-Criteria Decision Making) in the form EDAS (Evaluation based on Distance from Average Solution) approach has been proposed for ranking thirteen candidate cotton fabrics basis four fabric parameters/attributes namely cover, thickness, areal density, porosity. The selection have done with view to achieving optimal thermal comfort properties. Sample no. 3 highest appraisal score 0.9838 achieves rank 1 (best choice) whereas sample 6 lowest 0.0000 occupies 13 (worst choice). results obtained by method demonstrates significant agreement performance earlier methods, which is evidenced very high correlation coefficients (Rs >0.87). Ranking patterns given imaginary weight sets also possess degree higher than 0.90. Moreover, there no occurrence reversal even when initial decision-making matrix changed. Thus, sensitivity analyses changing criteria weights that through influence dynamic decision matrices further bolster stability robustness terms performance.

Abstract Smart service innovation is the process of reconfiguring resources, structures, and value co-creation processes in systems that result novel data-driven offerings. The addition of nano-additives provides a path to improve joint performance. However, it is not clear if the use these materials can alter susceptibility bonded joints presence defects. This work aims shed some light on this matter, by testing performance defective with adhesives modified nano-additives. Two different kinds carbon-based nano-platelets, including graphene (G) and oxide (GO), were used in as additives for bond single lap (SLJs). Bulk specimens, well three geometrically SLJs manufactured tested. One configuration was without defects (WO), another disbond defect middle overlap, edge known side (SD). These specimens neat epoxy adhesive same 0.3 wt% G GO. GO found Young’s modulus strength adhesive, while also decreasing its toughness.
