Wind
energy

investment,
harnessing
the
vast
power
of
wind
to
generate
electricity.
Recent
decades
have
seen
significant
advancements
in
floating
offshore
turbines
(FOWTs),
which
hold
great
potential
for
expanding
infrastructure.
While
has
grown
popularity,
it
raised
questions
about
operations
maintenance
turbines,
particularly
those
located
remote
challenging
environments.
Offshore
offers
optimal
conditions
construction
flexibility,
but
FOWTs
face
complex
marine
conditions,
including
turbulent
forces,
variations,
unpredictable
weather
events.
Emergency
Mechanical
Braking
(EMB)
commonly
used
swiftly
stop
during
adverse
frequent
use
can
lead
structural
oscillations,
mooring
failures,
blade
damage.
These
issues
result
emergency
situations,
increased
downtime,
higher
costs.
One
challenge
understanding
turbine
brake
system
instability
cost
experimental
studies.
To
address
this,
our
work
introduces
an
iterative
method
that
establishes
correlations
between
component
properties
(like
Young’s
modulus
friction
coefficient),
geometric
operational
parameters,
key
factors
such
as
frequency
intensity.
Using
finite
element
analysis
eigenvalue
analysis,
this
approach
focuses
on
reducing
vibration
optimizing
braking
performance.
Our
study
yielded
intriguing
results,
observation

thickness,
whether
through
design
choices
or
natural
wear,
decreases

unstable
