This work investigates the influence of building form, natural ventilation, and window shading passive strategies on thermal performance comfort three residential forms, namely rectangular, L-shape, U-shape, in hot-dry summer Amman, Jordan. The buildings is studied using indoor air temperature, evaluated according to ASHRAE-55 Fanger's models. buildings' models are designed SketchUp plugin OpenStudio then plugged into EnergyPlus simulator. It obtained that when ventilation devices considered together, temperature notably dropped up 8.85 °C daytime 12.70 at nighttime, which improves all forms. Generally, rectangular exhibits best behavior under optimum conditions. U-shape presents for primary conditions, it records lowest out-of-comfort percentage time during day achieves highest comfortable after considering window's area control.

Window design affects the building's appearance. Besides, it has a significant impact on daylight performance and visual comfort of interior spaces. Therefore, choosing shape position windows can be challenge for architects. This research aims to investigate window dynamic enhance comfort. The examines five common shapes that are located in two different positions southern-facing side. most metrics LEED v4.1 were used spatial autonomy (sDA), annual sunlight exposure (ASE). Furthermore, useful illuminance (UDI) was considered complementary approach assess levels. examined three cities including Mashhad, Isfahan, Bandar Abbas, which northeast, center, south Iran, respectively. Thirty simulations each city conducted by Grasshopper Graphical editor as parametric interface its plugins, ladybug, honeybee analysis. results emphasize performance. square meets needs achieving maximum sDA minimum ASE up 68.8% 20% both positions, Moreover, centrally positioned presents lowest level 14.4% among other cases. The architectural design process is complex, involving diverse objectives that may be contradictory, and on which orientation exerts significant influence. artificial intelligence application, Generative Design facilitates solving multi-objective dilemmas through the creation evaluation of numerous alternatives. However, its exploration in educational buildings hot arid climates remains limited. Given impact spaces’ function distribution, this study aims to optimize it typical plans buildings. ABSTRACT The visual comfort of building occupants may be directly affected by stochastic modulation shading. In this paper, simulations combined with statistical analysis were used to investigate and evaluate the different seating positions in an office. dynamic daylighting indicators (UDI, DGP, sDA, ASE) analyze within main findings show following: (1) DGP ASE metrics that probability glare near windows is not always highest. influence line-of-sight direction should also considered. (2) By running 50 simulations, average value sDA300/50% was 0.97, ASE1000/250 11.4%. This shows office has good quality. Library building design features contribute to the performance of indoor daylight. Reading spaces in library buildings require effective daylighting for high productivity. This study evaluated daylight quality three reading spaces, namely Esut-Hall A, C, and F, located main Enugu State University Science Technology (ESUT). Passive lighting design plays an important role in providing natural to save electricity consumption buildings. This study aims investigate the performance of and potential alternative designs through sidelights with 3 shading device models light shelves different sizes north, west, east, south orientations. research method is quantitative, which describes measurement results existing conditions radiance illuminance software simulations.
