Health communication and promotion on the internet have evolved over time, driven by development of new technologies, including generative artificial intelligence (GenAI). These technological tools offer opportunities for both public professionals. However, these advancements also pose risks exacerbating health disparities. Limited research has focused combining mediums, particularly those enabled technologies like GenAI, their applications Therefore, this viewpoint, adopting a conceptual approach, provides an updated overview mediums role in understanding disparities GenAI era. Additionally, associated with are briefly discussed through lens Technology Acceptance Model 2, uses gratifications theory, knowledge gap hypothesis. This viewpoint discusses limitations barriers previous internet-based regarding real-time responses, personalized advice, follow-up inquiries, highlighting potential technology promotion. It caused such as individuals' inability to evaluate information, restricted access services, lack skill development. Overall, study lays groundwork future how could be leveraged its challenges may exacerbate inequities. underscores need more empirical studies, well importance enhancing digital literacy increasing socially disadvantaged populations.

ABSTRACT Objective: Evaluate the effect of a podcast as an educational action on Youth and Adult Education (EJA) students in learning about leprosy. Method: Prospective, quasi-experimental study. An was carried out with leprosy public schools Recife, Pernambuco, 2024. The sample consisted 211 selection non-probabilistic by convenience. collection took place through questionnaire involving content leprosy, McNemar used to assess significance changes. Results: After intervention, there increase number adequate knowledge, proportion changes from errors pre-test correct answers post-test being greater (p < 0.05) than for questions. Conclusion: Using tools like podcasts health education enables access dissemination information, promoting knowledge individual collective behavior.

RESUMEN Objetivo: Evaluar el efecto de un podcast como una acción educativa en estudiantes la Educación Jóvenes y Adultos (EJA) aprendizaje sobre lepra. Método: Estudio prospectivo, casi-experimental. Se realizó con educacional lepra escuelas públicas Recife, Pernambuco, 2024. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 211 selección fue tipo no probabilístico conveniencia. recolección se mediante cuestionario que involucraba contenidos utilizó McNemar para significancia los cambios. Resultados: Después intervención, hubo aumento cantidad conocimiento adecuado, proporción cambios errores pre-test a aciertos post-test mayor (p < 0,05) las preguntas. Conclusión: Usar herramientas podcasts educación salud posibilita acceso propagación información, promoviendo comportamiento individuales colectivos.

RESUMO: Objetivo: Avaliar o efeito de um podcast como uma ação educativa em alunos da Educação Jovens e Adultos (EJA) na aprendizagem sobre hanseníase. Método: Estudo prospectivo, quase-experimental. Foi realizada com educacional hanseníase escolas públicas Recife, Pernambuco, 2024. A amostra foi composta por 211 a seleção do tipo não probabilística conveniência. coleta ocorreu meio questionário envolvendo conteúdos utilizado McNemar para significância mudanças. Resultados: Após intervenção, houve aumento quantidade conhecimento adequado, proporção mudanças erros no pré-teste acertos pós-teste maior (p < 0,05) que as questões.
