Today, the media have a significant impact on most social practices and interactions including conflict-related ones. Russian foreign academic discourse demonstrates sustained interest in examining instrumental functions of digital platforms process communications accompanying conflict at its various stages. In contemporary conflicts, however, act not only as an unbiased medium tool for evolution, escalation or resolution, but also independent subject interactions. The study is an exploratory research aimed at testing methods to examine conflict indicators of Russian media discourse. At this stage the research, Internet-memes analysis was conducted. article explores theories interface and studies provides a critical review contemporary meme research. authors argue that memes have huge manipulating capacity can influence their viewers provoking social unrest.
