This editorial highlights the limitations of preclinical models in accurately reflecting complexity anxiety and depression, which leads to a lack effective treatments for these disorders. Inconsistencies experimental designs methodologies can entail conflicting or inconclusive findings, while an overreliance on medication mask underlying problems. Researchers are exploring new approaches modeling negative emotional disorders, including using patient-derived cells, developing more complex animal models, integrating genetic environmental factors. Advanced technologies, such as optogenetics, chemogenetics neuroimaging, also being employed improve specificity selectivity models. Collaboration innovation across different disciplines sectors needed address societal challenges, requires funding support that prioritize cooperation multidisciplinary research. By harnessing power technology ways working, researchers collaborate effectively bring about transformative change.

Depression is a common mental disorder in which patients often experience feelings of sadness, fatigue, loss interest, and pleasure. Exercise widely used intervention for managing depression, but the specific molecular mechanisms underlying its antidepressant effect are unclear. In this narrative review, we aim to synthesize current knowledge on molecular, neural, physiological through exercise exerts discuss various interventions depression. We conducted review literature topic Our suggests that impacts peripheral tryptophan metabolism, central inflammation, brain-derived neurotrophic factors peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ activating factor 1α (PGC-1α) skeletal muscles. The uncarboxylated osteocalcin facilitates "bone-brain crosstalk", corrects atypical expression brain-gut peptides, modulates cytokine production neurotransmitter release, regulates inflammatory pathways microRNA expression. Aerobic recommended at frequencies 3 5 times per week with medium high intensity. Here highlight significant potential therapy supported by effect. Understanding neural involved exercise's opens new avenues developing novel therapies

Depression is a common but serious mental health illness affected human's physiology and psychology. In contemporary times, neurophysiological research on depression has emerged as prominent area of investigation, yet there remains paucity review elucidating the central mechanisms in brain. Consequently, we undertook bibliometric analysis visualization assessment to underscore recent advancements pertaining neural underpinnings depression. By employing these methods, have collected articles spanning period from 2013 2024, shedding light latest insights into brain associated with Bibliometric found 16327 papers field mechanism underlying depression, overall showing sustained growth trend. Through meticulous data institutions countries, authors, co-cited literature, keywords, etc., this paper humbly aims tentatively identify future hotspots frontiers, hoping modestly contribute stimulate further scholarly progress field.

Depression is considered the most important disorder affecting mental health. The aim of this systematic integrative review was: (i) to describe effects supplementation with adaptogens on variables related depression in adults; and (ii) discuss potential combination physical exercise aid planning commissioning future clinical research. An was developed complementing Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews Meta-Analyses statement (PROSPERO registration: CRD42021249682). A total 41 articles met inclusion criteria. With a Price index 46.4%, we found that: Hypericum perforatum (St. John’s Wort) studied supported adaptogen (17/41 [41.46%], three meta-analysis) followed by Crocus sativus L. or saffron (6/41 [14.63%], meta-analysis two reviews); it possible that significantly better performance over placebo due reduction allostatic load via action secondary metabolites BDNF regulation; and, (iii) number studies reporting activity levels limited null those combine an program consumption adaptogens. Aware need multidisciplinary approach treatment, provides up-to-date view supporting use St. Wort as non-pharmacological strategies while also help research efficacy other It contributes design evaluate herbal extracts plus exercise, mainly resistance training, potentially safe powerful strategy treat depression.

Depression is one of the most common diseases in world, and it also mental disorder. Depressive disorders are a real threat not only to individuals, but general population. This disease leading cause disability inability work. Due numerous side effects conventional drugs, attention increasingly being paid other solutions, including herbal medicines. Many plant species known for their traditional uses treatment anxiety, insomnia, depression. The clinically proven adaptogenic raw materials on depression symptoms probably related positive impact some secondary metabolites (terpenoids, alkaloids, glucosinolates, phenols). Currently, emphasized that many cases antioxidant anti-inflammatory properties substances play protective role at neurocellular level. Among medicinal plants analyzed clinical trials depression, following seem be particularly interesting: saffron (Crocus L.), turmeric (Curcuma ginkgo (Ginkgo St. John's wort (Hypericum passionflower (Passiflora which have broad strong biological activity, well-documented history action use, effectiveness preventing and/or treating anxiety These still sphere biochemical phytopharmaceutical research, results very promising.
