<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Objective. </strong>Empirical study of the criteria for assessing adaptation students &ndash; representatives indigenous and minorities North, Siberia Far East to educational environment colleges features their adaptation. <br><strong>Background.</strong> The relevance studying Russian Federation is due high importance secondary vocational education preservation development culture these peoples. <br><strong>Study design.</strong> Factor analysis made it possible identify indicators students' college (adaptation criteria). To clarify adaptability students-representatives SIM role environmental factors mediating adaptation, correlation, variance analysis, as well significance differences were used. <br><strong>Participants. </strong>Students-representatives 304 people (179 girls, 125 boys). Students comparison group 416 (195 221 <br><strong>Measurements. </strong>Russian-language version Scale Sociocultural Adaptation J. Wilson', K. Ward', et al. author's scale self-assessment degree satisfaction with main aspects life. Author's questionnaire an organization. <br><strong>Results. </strong>Three groups are identified: academic (23% variance), sociocultural (13%) psychological (13%). Indigenous minority do not differ in terms socio-cultural while higher than conditions homogeneity lower its heterogeneity. <br><strong>Conclusions.</strong> independent each other allow organization, activities group; a new environment, emotional well-being individual.</p>
