Abstract
Traditional
lab
courses
were
a
source
of
stress
for
instructors
during
the
COVID
pandemic.
Switching
over
to
online
or
hybrid
models
instruction,
while
not
huge
difficulty

classes,

Comparing Exam Scores in Engineering Graphics Courses Using Fully Online Theory Exams vs Exams That Incorporate Hand Sketching

Abstract
At
Penn
State
Behrend,
an
introductory
engineering
graphics
course
traditionally
had
paper-based
theory
exams
that
incorporated
true/false,
multiple
choice,
short
answer,
and
sketching
questions.
These
were
converted
to
all
online
format.
The

taken
in
person
during
a
lab
period
under
supervised
conditions,
open
book.
There
is
no
hand
on
the
exams,
sketching-related
questions
have
been
changed
or
choice
with
incorrect
sketches
based

student
errors.
