Many endophytic fungi are approved as plant growth stimulants, and several commercial biostimulants have already been introduced in agricultural practice. However, there still many species of whose growth-promoting properties understudied or not studied at all. We examined the effect spring barley (Hordeum vulgare) Italian ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum) induced by three previously obtained from roots Festuca/Lolium grasses. Surface-sterilized seeds were inoculated with a spore suspension Cadophora fastigiata (isolate BSG003), Paraphoma fimeti (BSG010), Plectosphaerella cucumerina (BSG006), their mixture. Before harvesting, plants grown greenhouse, being multi-cavity trays for 30 days placed an original cylindric element system 63 days. All newly tested had positive on plants, most pronounced impact observed root size. The fungal inoculations increased dry shoot biomass between 11% 26% ryegrass, but no such was barley. highest increment Herein, P. C. superior to other treatments, showing increase weight 50% compared 20%, respectively. significantly promoted resulting 20-30% non-inoculated plants. Moreover, strong stimulatory fungi-emitted VOCs development plate-in-plate arrays. In presence cultures, number hairs seedlings doubled control Thus, our study, we demonstrated potential grass root-derived endophytes fastigiata, fimeti, promoters ryegrass. These studies can be extended major crops grasses evaluating different isolates.
