The research relevance stems from the importance of investigating emotional development specifics in intellectually disabled primary school pupils, which should be accounted for when planning process and psychological intervention. Research into unique individual emotions such children will mitigate negative factors their development. Focus here is on traits emotions. This used following diagnosis methods: O.E. Shapovalova’s questionnaire based B.I. Dodonov’s value-based classification designed to analyze vectors pupils; series assignments including analysis black white photographs that show subjects’ ability recognize states other people understand why a person experiences respective emotions; What Would You Do? whether were able regulate given choice conflict. revealed pupils: weak emotion regulation, differentiation, polarity inadequacy emotions, inability independently resolve problems without conflicts, propensity frequent affective reactions, people. Depending personal development, students might need comprehensive, targeted, systematic, intervention assistance. Basing available compensatory reserves preserved enable optimal better prepare independent life society.
