Relationship between smoking status and ulcerative colitis: a meta-analysis based on a case–control study

Prior
research
has
revealed
an
association
between
smoking,
reduced
ulcerative
colitis
(UC)
risk,
and
improved
disease
severity
among
individuals
with
existing
UC.
Herein,
we
analysed
the
interaction
smoking
habits
UC
its
potential
complexity,
focusing
on
associations
incidence
of
UC,
therapeutic
outcomes,
via
a
meta-analysis
data
from
case-control
studies.
The
PubMed,
China
Knowledge,
WanFang,
Web
Science,
Science
Technology
Journal,
Embase,
Scopus
databases
were
searched,
yielding
nine
studies
investigating
progression
for
inclusion.
Compared
to
non-smoking
or
cessation,
had
protective
effect
against
indicating
that
it
may
reduce
risk
developing
UC;
specifically,
was
associated
significant
compared
cessation
(pooled
odds
ratio
(OR):
0.26,
95%
confidence
interval
(CI):
0.21-0.32;
P

0.067,

Non-smoking

Abstract
Coronary
atherosclerotic
heart
disease
(CAD)
is
among
the
most
prevalent
chronic
diseases
globally.
Circadian
rhythm
disruption
(CRD)
closely
associated
with
progression
of
various
diseases.
However,
precise
role
CRD
in
development
CAD
remains
to
be
elucidated.
The
score
(CRDscore)
was
employed
quantitatively
assess
level
samples.
Our
investigation
revealed
a
significant
association
between
high
CRDscore
and
adverse
prognosis
patients,
along
substantial
correlation
progression.
Remarkably
distinct
distributions
were
also
identified
subtypes.
In
summary,
we
have
pioneered
revelation
relationship
at
single-cell
established
reliable
markers
for
development,
treatment,
CAD.
A
deeper
understanding
these
mechanisms
may
offer
new
possibilities
incorporating
"the
therapy
coronary
based
circadian
rhythm"
into
personalized
medical
treatment
regimens.

Assessing personalized molecular portraits underlying endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition within pulmonary arterial hypertension

Abstract
Pulmonary
arterial
hypertension
(PAH)
is
a
progressive
and
rapidly
fatal
disease
with
an
intricate
etiology.
Identifying
biomarkers
for
early
PAH
lesions
based
on
the
exploration
of
subtle
biological
processes
significant
timely
diagnosis
treatment.
In
present
study,
nine
distinct
cell
populations
identified
gene
expression
profiles
revealed
high
heterogeneity
in
composition
ratio,
function,
distribution
preference,
communication
patterns
PAH.
Notably,
compared
to
other
cells,
endothelial
cells
(ECs)
showed
prominent
variation
multiple
perspectives.
Further
analysis
demonstrated
endothelial-to-mesenchymal
transition
(EndMT)
