Antitumour herbal medicines based on pink periwinkle and yew tree alkaloids are included in combination therapies for many types of cancer. The use these classes products may entail cardiotoxic effects leading to life-threatening conditions. aim the study was analyse scientific literature anticancer drugs (taxanes) (vinca alkaloids). results analysis demonstrated that main manifestations taxane-induced cardiotoxicity were bradycardia, atrioventricular block, atrial ventricular arrhythmias. Concomitant taxanes anthracycline antibiotics exacerbated both drug classes. vinca associated with haematological toxicity form neutropenia, while effect rarely observed during monotherapy. Raising awareness among oncologists, cardiologists, other specialists involved management cancer patients about potential cardiac complications antitumour therapy contributes early detection adverse reactions allows individual correction treatment regimens, especially predisposition cardiovascular disease.

Atrial fibrillation is a serious adverse reaction associated with the use of anticancer drugs. The aim study was to analyse scientific literature on prevalence, pathophysiological mechanisms, and risk factors drug-induced atrial fibrillation, ways its prevention treatment. results showed that incidence varies depending specific drug ranges from 1 86%. It herbal agents, alkylating protein kinase inhibitors, monoclonal antibodies, immunosuppressants, antitumor antibiotics, antimetabolites, hormonal hormone antagonists, etc. Most often, develops following such drugs as gemcitabine (in combination vinorelbine), cisplatin, melphalan, ibrutinib, cetuximab, trastuzumab, alemtuzumab, doxorubicin. demonstrated mechanisms underlying development induced by include electrophysiological abnormalities, myocardial injury, inflammation, immune response, apoptosis, oxidative stress. Risk for are not clearly defined yet continue be subject research. Prevention in cancer patients requires multidisciplinary approach involving participation an oncohematologist cardiologist. doctors charge should also vigilant regarding potential this reaction.

The article aims at presenting the review of literature data concerning mechanisms, diagnostic methods, and preventive approaches for cardiovascular toxicity induced by chemotherapy target drugs. is devoted to currently important issue cardiotoxicity with antineoplastic therapy. Modern cytostatic agents cause clinically significant myocardial damage, which definitely impair quality life decrease expec-tancy in oncological patients. Compared traditional chemotherapy, cancer therapy a new strategy inhibits key molecules signal pathways participating carcinogenesis tumor spread. Target characterized lesser unfavorable effects on normal cells considered future chemotherapy. However, sometimes becomes critical patients administered novel agents. Cardiac oncology sphere medicine comes under scrutiny experts despite fact that many mechanisms complications have not been thoroughly studied. current presents state-of-the-art information monitoring problems safety, contemporary view preventing
