The operating conditions of motor vehicle engines in dusty environments resulting from sandy terrain, as well helicopters using adventurous airstrips, leading to the 'brownout' phenomenon, are discussed. parameters mineral dust examined, including particle shape, hardness, size, and air concentration, along with their impact on accelerated wear piston turbine engine components. It is demonstrated that primary effect particles entering internal combustion through intake stream abrasive erosive individual components entire structural assemblies both reciprocating engines.
