Light is crucial for higher plants, driving photosynthesis and serving as a powerful sensory signal that profoundly modulates growth, development, physiological functions, hormone activation, biochemical pathways. Various light parameters—quality, intensity, composition, photoperiod—exert tremendous influence on plant growth particularly in industrial hemp (Cannabis sativa L.). C. sativa, crop of historical significance unparalleled versatility, holds immense value the food, fiber, medicinal industries. The cultivation cannabis burgeoning controlled environments due to evolving healthcare regulations. Optimal conditions significantly enhance both yield harvest quality, notably increasing density apical inflorescences ratio inflorescence total aboveground biomass. metabolites, especially phenolic terpene compounds Phytocannabinoids like CBD (cannabidiol), THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), CBG (cannabigerol), possess value. Secondary metabolites predominantly accumulate trichomes female flowers surrounding sugar leaves, underscoring critical need boost weight metabolite concentrations while ensuring product consistency. Different parameters distinctly impact sativa’s metabolic profile, providing robust foundation understanding optimal synthesizing specific secondary metabolites. While effects measurement various crops are well-established, scientific evidence specifically relating quality morphology accumulation remains scarce. In this review, we critically summarized how different properties can alter (vegetative reproductive), physiology metabolism. Furthermore, mechanisms by which wavelengths biosynthesis not fully elucidated, could be prospective task future researchers. Our review paves way profound light’s advancements greenhouse settings maximize production commercial use.

It is well-established that plants are sessile and photoautotrophic organisms rely on light throughout their entire life cycle. Light quality (spectral composition) especially important as it provides energy for photosynthesis influences signaling pathways regulate plant devel-opment in the complex process of photomorphogenesis. During past years, significant progress has been made physiological biochemical effects crops. However, understanding how modulates growth development remains a challenge. In this review, we provide an overview role regulating early plants, encompassing processes such seed germination, seedling de-etiolation, establishment. These insights can be harnessed to improve production planning crop by producing high-quality seedlings factories improving theoretical framework modern agriculture.

Light is a crucial environmental signal and form of photosynthetic energy for plant growth, development, nutrient formation. To explore the effects light quality on growth nutritional qualities greenhouse-grown lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.), was cultivated under supplementary white (W) light-emitting diodes (LEDs); plus ultraviolet A LEDs (W+UV); far-red (W+FR); combination white, far-red, UV-A (W+FR+UV) 25 days, with grown natural sunlight used as control. The results indicate that leaf length width values W+FR+UV treatment were significantly higher than those other treatments. highest shoot fresh weight, dry root weight recorded W+FR (4.0, 6.0, 8.0, 12.4 times control treatment, respectively). Lettuce exhibited total chlorophyll content (39.1%, 24.6%, 16.2% W, W+UV, treatments, carotenoid among all However, activity treatment. Soluble sugar content, cellulose starch in responded differently to treatments W+UV In summary, promoted accumulation lettuce. Specifically, UV increased some specific compounds Our findings provide valuable references application light-supplementation strategies greenhouse production.

Among many innovative tools developed to address these issues, wearable sensors have recently been proposed monitoring microclimates a sustainable manner. These systems are composed flexible matrices with embedded sensing elements, showing promise revolutionizing without being intrusive. Despite their potential benefits, concerns arise regarding effects long-term coexistence devices surface. Surprisingly, systematic analysis influence on physiology lacking. This study aims investigate effect color geometric features two key physiological functions: photosynthesis transpiration. Our findings indicate that negative associated colored substrates, as identified recent research, can be minimized by holing matrix surface percentage voids 15.7%. approach mitigates interference light absorption reduces water loss negligible extent, making work one first pioneering efforts understanding intricate relationship between wearables' health.

Additional RL increased number xylem cells, transpiration expression group genes responsible for biosynthesis signaling auxins (AUX/IAA, ARF3/4, ARF16) brassinosteroids (BR-α-RED BRZ2), while related to pathway jasmonic acid reduced. Additionally, WL, content proanthocyanidins catechins young needles; however, an increase chalcone synthase gene (CHS) found RL, especially RL+FRL, which possibly indicates greater intensity than observed spectrum. WL photosynthetic activity, presumably by increasing proportion blue light; at same time, highest index RL. results obtained indicate that effect can accelerate development cells aboveground parts but not activity or accumulation secondary metabolites.
