Abstract Rubroshorea curtisii (Meranti Seraya) is a species in the Dipterocarpaceae family that of ecological and economic signi8icance. The distribution these Indonesia has been reported only Sumatra, Singkep, Lingga, it currently found Batam Island, Riau Archipelago, Indonesia. pressure development on caused forest to be fragmented into smaller parts signi8icantly reduced natural habitat . objective this research was assess synecology determine whether landscape an important biodiversity patch for by analyzing its structure, composition, abundance Sei Harapan Bukit Tiban forests. study used vegetation analysis approach employing purposive sampling 12 circular plots each site where grew naturally. In Fragmented Forest, Important Value Index 138.01% (tree), 46.48% (pole), 23.38% (sapling), 27.12% (seedling), while 121.79% 26.67% 30.31% (seedling).
