Cobalt (Co) is a transition metal and classified as beneficial for plants, but its benefits plants remain obscure. has been reported to negatively affect plant physiochemical processes both at higher (toxic) lower (deficient) applied levels. High concentrations of cobalt in organs cause irreversible changes the cells, mainly via enhanced production reactive radicals. Moreover, Co compound play an essential role humans they are central atoms cobalamin, co-enzyme precursor whose absence causes anemia. Hence, optimum supply critical customary metabolic workings. Henceforth, monitoring behavior soil-plant-human system highly imperative. This review highlighted latest literature on (i) soil plants; (ii) mobility phyto-availability soil; (iii) phytouptake translocation towards shoot tissues; (iv) toxic deficient effects (v) detoxification mechanisms under increased levels inside human body. For this purpose, 1026 observations from data were analyzed related biogeochemical soil-plant system. The analysis revealed overall increase 567 decrease 381 observations. However, these general trends responses vary significantly different types species physiological attributes. Overall, current delineates updated representation system, supported by up-to-date 9 main tables, 14 supporting 3 figures. authors believe that presented here can be great interest scientists, researchers, policymakers, graduate-level students.
