Purpose: This study investigated the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on mental health, quality life, and family functioning in a sample general female population, exploring difficulties encountered managing work responsibilities burden care when taking loved one. This research aims to explore the spatiotemporal distribution patterns of negative emotions in mainland China during different stages COVID-19 pandemic and external factors influencing this clustering. Using Baidu Index data for 91 emotion keywords, a retrospective geographic analysis was conducted across Chinese provinces from 14 October 2019 7 July 2022. Four spatial methods (Global Moran’s Index, Local Bivariate Global Index) are employed identify potential clustering at stages. The results indicate that significantly intensified effect China, particularly with more pronounced radiation northwestern provinces. Spatial positive correlations observed between pandemic-related indices (pandemic index, government nucleic acid index) emotions. These findings contribute understanding characteristics post outbreak can guide allocation psychological resources emergencies, thereby promoting social stability.
