Seventeen bacterial strains able to suppress plant pathogens have been isolated from healthy Vietnamese crop plants, and taxonomically assigned as members of the Bacillus cereus group. In order prove their potential biocontrol agents, we performed a comprehensive analysis which included whole genome sequencing selected strains, mining for genes gene clusters involved in synthesis endo- exotoxins, secondary metabolites, such antimicrobial peptides (AMPs). Kurstakin, thumolycin, other AMPs were detected characterized by different mass spectrometric methods, MALDI-TOF-MS, LIFT-MALDI-TOF/TOF fragment analysis. Based on sequences, plant-associated isolates following species subspecies: B. subsp. (6), bombysepticus (5), tropicus (2), pacificus. Three represented novel genomospecies. Genes encoding entomopathogenic crystal vegetative proteins TK1. vitro assays revealed that many enhanced growth suppressed pathogens. Our findings indicated representatives group are rich source putative compounds with sustainable agriculture. However, presence virulence might restrict application biologicals
