A better match between formal education and work-life is seen as one approach that can help students acquire competences knowledge necessary for successful participation in their future lives. However, emphasis often placed on exploring practices targeted at nearing entry into a pattern, whereas promoting key competencies positive attitudes toward work should start an earlier stage. We conducted in-depth interviews with 20 Estonian primary school teachers, recognized by colleagues outstanding to explore understanding experiences of integrating students’ work-related classroom learning. While teachers involve the professions family members, they overlook potential local community.
