Workplace bullying is a violent, devastating social phenomenon that affects professionals from various fields. The present study aimed to map the behaviors suffered by Portuguese healthcare in workplace and coping strategies they used. In this quantitative, cross-sectional, correlational study, 208 participated completing an online survey consisting of sociodemographic questionnaire two instruments, Negative Acts Questionnaire—Revised Brief COPE. association between characteristics victimization, patterns strategy frequency, relationship negative work experiences were analyzed. It was found only 35 participants self-identified as victims bullying, there no victimization any characteristics. However, it observed nurses are more frequently than doctors. Regarding strategies, on average used planning active coping. Moreover, women emotional support strategy. Additionally, with higher frequency among those who reported experiences. Finally, use such venting, distraction, behavioral disengagement. results discussed based empirical literature topic, reflection practical scientific implications research violence, emphasize potential benefits our beyond individual level, highlight how could inform policies, improve institutional practices, foster healthier environment for professionals.
