Background/Objectives: Schizophrenia (SZ) is a complex psychiatric disorder characterized by neurodegenerative processes, but the structural brain alterations associated with its progression remain poorly understood. This study investigated changes in SZ, particularly fronto-temporal and limbic regions, explored their relationship symptom severity, focus on mood- emotion-related symptoms. Methods: We analyzed MRI data from 74 SZ patients 91 healthy controls (HCs) using voxel-based morphometry (VBM) to compare whole-brain grey matter volumes (GMVs). The analysis focused correlations between GMV severity were assessed Positive Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) Generalized Psychopathology (GP) scale. Results: exhibited significant reductions including dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (dlPFC) temporal pole, compared HCs. Notably, positive association was found right inferior gyrus (ITG) of generalized psychopathology, as well anxiety, depression, mannerisms, unusual thought content. Further post hoc identified specific cluster mood-related symptoms contributing GP scale, which correlated ITG. Conclusions: Our findings provide new evidence suggesting progressive pattern. role ITG requires further exploration, it could offer insights into pathophysiology aid distinguishing other disorders.

Idiopathic normal-pressure hydrocephalus (iNPH) is a clinic-radiological neurological syndrome presenting with cognitive deficits, gait disturbances and urinary incontinence. Due to the reversible nature of iNPH when promptly treated, lot studies have focused on possible biomarkers, among which are cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) biomarkers. The aim present study was determine rate beta-amyloid pathology AD co-pathology by measuring CSF namely, amyloid beta 42 40 amino acids (Aβ42), Aβ42/Aβ40 ratio, total Tau protein (t-Tau) phosphorylated at threonine 181 (p-Tau), in cohort patients, as well investigate associations biomarkers neuropsychological profiles.
