This study evaluated the effects of dietary calcium (Ca) and crude protein (CP) levels on growth performance, nutrient utilization, intestinal morphology, digestive enzyme activities in goslings during brooding period. A total 972 one-day-old Jiangnan White were assigned to a 3 × factorial design with three Ca (0.32%, 0.96%, 2.88%) CP (14.5%, 18.5%, 22.5%). Results showed that moderate (0.96%) (14.5–18.5%) optimized higher body weight (BW), average daily gain (ADG), feed intake (ADFI), while excessive (2.88%) impaired conversion ratio (FCR). Intestinal morphology was enhanced by 0.96% levels, as reflected greater villus height crypt depth. Digestive duodenum, jejunum, ileum significantly influenced treatments, supporting optimal enzymatic efficiency. Nutrient utilization analyses revealed interacted optimize calcium, phosphorus, metabolism, highest rates observed at 14.5% CP. These findings emphasize importance balanced formulations enhance absorption, metabolic efficiency goslings, providing practical insights for improving poultry production.
