This
study
evaluated
the
effects
of
dietary
calcium
(Ca)
and
crude
protein
(CP)
levels
on
growth
performance,
nutrient
utilization,
intestinal
morphology,
digestive
enzyme
activities
in
goslings
during
brooding
period.
A
total
972
one-day-old
Jiangnan
White
were
assigned
to
a
3
×
factorial
design
with
three
Ca
(0.32%,
0.96%,
2.88%)
CP
(14.5%,
18.5%,
22.5%).
Results
showed
that
moderate
(0.96%)
(14.5–18.5%)
optimized
higher
body
weight
(BW),
average
daily
gain
(ADG),
feed
intake
(ADFI),
while
excessive
(2.88%)
impaired
conversion
ratio
(FCR).
Intestinal
morphology
was
enhanced
by
0.96%
levels,
as
reflected
greater
villus
height
crypt
depth.
Digestive
duodenum,
jejunum,
ileum
significantly
influenced
treatments,
supporting
optimal
enzymatic
efficiency.
Nutrient
utilization
analyses
revealed
interacted
optimize
calcium,
phosphorus,
metabolism,
highest
rates
observed
at
14.5%
CP.
These
findings
emphasize
importance
balanced
formulations
enhance
absorption,
metabolic
efficiency
goslings,
providing
practical
insights
for
improving
poultry
production.
