Lignocellulosic fungi are highly versatile organisms with valuable applications in bioremediation processes, including the biodegradation of agro-industrial effluents. In this work, use a native strain white-rot fungus, Pycnoporus aff. sanguineus, was studied for its sugar industry waste called vinasse, originating from San Martín del Tabacal Sugar Mill, located north Salta province, Argentina. We under controlled laboratory conditions process 3 concentrations vinasse (5, 10, and 25% distilled water) isolated strain. The results showed biomass growth at all three tested concentrations, maximum highest concentration (25%), while percentages color Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) removal indicated that most efficient treatment 10% vinasse. obtained promising effluents using considering subproducts spp. biomass.
