Vaccination during pregnancy is crucial for safeguarding maternal and neonatal health, but vaccination rates remain suboptimal, especially in women from Black Asian ethnic minorities. We explored the perspectives decision-making processes of pregnant regarding uptake three recommended vaccines pregnancy: Influenza, Pertussis (whooping cough) COVID-19. also women's attitudes to taking part vaccine trials use artificial intelligence (AI) obtain information on vaccines. In 2023, we conducted in-depth telephone interviews with ethnically diverse Greater London area using convenience snowball sampling. The focused participants' views pregnancy, participation trials, information-seeking behaviours, emerging technologies health information. Interviews were transcribed verbatim thematically analysed. data collection analysis alongside iterative development topic guide coding framework, key themes through collaborative team discussions. Twenty one aged 20-39 interviewed whom 67% minorities 29% migrant backgrounds. Half participants (53%) reported hesitancy towards at least revealed several themes: concerns about safety, particularly newer due lack long-term data; reliance healthcare professionals guidance, balanced personal research; a strong desire clear comprehensive specifically tailored women. Additionally, there was widespread refusal trials; mixed responses AI (such as chatbots) obtaining decisions are complex require clear, unambiguous communication providers, midwives, address their specific concerns. Newborns are born with an immature immune system, making them susceptible to infections early in life. Human milk provides essential nutrients and immunological factors that support infant immunity. Maternal vaccination during lactation has the potential enhance these benefits by triggering response mother, potentially extending protection her child. However, lactating individuals often excluded from vaccine trials, leading uncertainties about safety efficacy postpartum period. This study critically evaluates effectiveness of vaccines enhancing immune-supporting properties human assesses their for mothers infants. By examining alongside concerns, we aim provide a comprehensive understanding vaccination's impact on maternal health. We utilized large-language models (LLMs) review process performed structured literature search across Ovid/Medline, Embase, Clarivate Analytics using terms like "breastfeeding", "postpartum", "vaccination". A three-stage screening involving LLM-assisted evaluation focused implications identified 73 studies covering against COVID-19, cholera, influenza, pertussis, pneumococcal, rabies, polio, rotavirus, rubella, varicella, typhoid, smallpox, yellow fever. Most vaccines, such as those COVID-19 appear safe effective use without requiring precautionary measures. caution is advised fever vaccine, where temporary breastfeeding cessation recommended. Overall, this underscores compatibility most suggests its both mother infant.

Vaccination is an effective preventive strategy against influenza. Kyrgyzstan introduced a comprehensive influenza vaccination program in 2013 and has collaborated with the Task Force for Global Health since 2017 to expand coverage. In 2023, vaccine post-introduction evaluation was conducted identify strengths weaknesses measures improvement. Site visits were across six regions of country interviews national, regional district staff, health facility individuals from priority populations using standardized questionnaires. Two major challenges identified this inadequate supply cover groups low acceptance uptake among pregnant people. These findings are important as they can inform targeted strategies policy updates increase implementation Kyrgyzstan.

Background: Maternal vaccination is a critical primary preventive approach and an integral part of life-course immunization strategy, influencing the infection-associated morbidity mortality in pregnant women, foetuses, young infants. Despite clear guidelines for administration vaccines against tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (Tdap), influenza, COVID-19 during pregnancy, maternal rates remain suboptimal Ireland as per National Immunisation Office Health Service Executive (HSE). Aim: This review explores prevailing status, uptake factors, immunization-specific vaccine hesitancy Ireland. Method: A scoping was conducted, searching nine electronic databases, including Irish health research repository Lenus. The search strategy utilised Population–Concept–Context framework (pregnant women—vaccine uptake/hesitancy—Ireland). Key factors identified categorised according to 5A framework: access, affordability, awareness, acceptance, activation. Results: Searches yielded 2457 articles, 12 eligible studies were included review. Influencing each dimensions, with majority relating acceptance awareness. Positively associated healthcare provider (HCP) recommendation knowledge safety. Potential antenatal barriers lack vaccine-preventable illness severity, infection risks, safety concerns. woman’s motivation protection her infant; however, reluctance HCPs prescribe all recommended vaccines, inadequate discussion consultations, pregnancy-specific hampered potential positive influences. national policy facilitator affordability. Activation can be achieved through public awareness campaigns interdisciplinary promotion uptake. Conclusions: remains suboptimal, coordinated, targeted updating HCP recommendations, enhancing highlighting pregnancy would required meet goals by WHO. By adopting healthy living, pivotal central point, programmes could close immunity gaps at various life stages.

Vaccination among pregnant and breastfeeding women is critical for protecting this vulnerable population their children. COVID-19 vaccination recommended both during pregnancy breastfeeding; however, we still do not fully understand the determinants that influence hesitancy towards vaccination. This study aimed to identify of vaccine in breastfeeding, puerperium women. A multicenter, cross-sectional study, involving 435 women, was conducted. evaluated by administering Attitudes (VAX) Scale Zung Anxiety Self-Assessment (SAS) adopted measure anxiety levels. Overall, 14% participants reported they did receive vaccine, 78.3% received first dose or while breastfeeding. The descriptive statistics VAX scale showed a total mean score 3.35 (±1.6), 75% an index equal lower than threshold. Vaccine increased as "adverse events after vaccination" (
