As the pandemic spread globally, there was an explosion of scholarship written on effects had in numerous fields. Human rights scholars were no exception to this trend and sought identify many related factors, including gender violence, freedom movement, protests, health care, repression. Scholarship type, real time responsive rapidly changing circumstances pandemic, necessary for making sense what taking place, but provided little consideration long-term human rights. Although is not over, we believe that sufficient has passed allow us think impact a longer-term context. First, provide review existing literature rights, categorizing as descriptive or prescriptive. Second, introduce six articles contained special issue entitled "Beyond Complacency Acrimony: Studying Rights Post-COVID-19 World" some ways address shortcomings previous literature. Finally, concluding remarks hope can act inspiration future scholarship.
