With the current increase in demand for animal and agricultural products, management of agrowaste has become critical to avoid greenhouse gas emissions. The present article investigates applicability ammonium bicarbonate synthesis via flash distillation valorize stabilize several types anaerobic digestates which are produced from individual fermentations amino acids. content CO2 digestate was found be responsible OH alkalinity (0.4 equivalents acid/kg digestate), while partial total alkalinities (0.8 eq/kg digestate) were essentially derived NH3. most suitable conditions 95 °C 1 bar with condensation occurring at 25 °C. However, order attain precipitation NH4HCO3 distillate, it necessary consider a moisture 50 wt.%, since saturation levels inorganic nitrogen carbon not attained otherwise. Even under these conditions, few acids (i.e., arginine, glycine, histidine) able provide an upon fermentation that would stabilization. process stabilization capacity t per h improved by adding hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide rate 44 kg/h, leading production 34 kg NH4HCO3/h. Given role volatile elements biogas as endogenous stripping agents, is recommended use fresh saturated feed distillation.
