As the metaverse emerges as a transformative digital realm, its adoption and integration into various aspects of society are subjects increasing scholarly practical interest. This research investigated factors influencing intention to use technology (IU) in Bangkok metropolitan areas, with particular focus on extended Unified Theory Acceptance Use Technology 2 (UTAUT2) framework, alongside role social media marketing (SMM) consumer engagement (CE). To verify behavioral intention, gender, age, experience proposed moderating affecting constructs individuals’ usage. The study collected data from 403 Thai internet users living surrounding areas using an online questionnaire. Subsequently, PLS-SEM method was employed validate model’s robustness reliability. Structural model analysis revealed significant relationships among constructs, highlighting SMM’s direct influence UTAUT2 (β = 0.787) CE 0.211). Serial mediation analyzes demonstrated fully mediating SMM UI through 0.572) 0.306). Moderation association between IU, mediated CE, is moderated by age experience. ABSTRACT This study explores direct‐to‐avatar (D2A) strategies—where brands engage directly with consumer avatars in virtual environments—in the luxury fashion retail sector, focusing on enhancing customer engagement and creating a seamless phygital (physical + digital) experience through immersion. Situated at crossroads of physical digital realms, this research assesses how immersive experiences contribute to perceived seamlessness within D2A direct‐to‐consumer (D2C) frameworks.
