BackgroundChronic respiratory diseases (CRDs) pose a significant global health burden. Antioxidant-rich diets have been associated with improved lung health, but the specific relationship CRDs remains unclear.MethodsThis study examined between dietary antioxidant intakes and using data from 2001–2018 National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). Information on intakes, including vitamins A, C, E, zinc, selenium, carotenoid, were collected 2 24-h recall interviews to calculate composite index (CDAI). determined based self-reported physician diagnoses. To examine CDAI CRDs, multivariate logistic regression was used. potential non-linear correlations within these associations, restricted cubic spline (RCS) performed.ResultsThe involved 40 557 individuals. The median −0.09 (−2.05, 2.25). We discovered those who in fourth quartile of scores had 19% lower prevalence than first (OR = 0.81 [0.72–0.91], Ptrend < 0.01) after adjusting for all relevant covariates. linked emphysema 0.57 [0.40–0.81], chronic bronchitis 0.74 [0.62–0.88], 0.01). RCS showed that non-linearly related inflection points 3.20 (P non-linearity <0.01). stratified analysis did not identify variables significantly affected results.ConclusionHigher (particularly bronchitis) general adults.

Water-based therapy has been gaining attention in recent years and is being widely used clinical settings. Hydrotherapy the most important area of water-based therapy, it distinct advantages characteristics compared to conventional land-based exercises. Several new techniques pieces equipment are currently emerging with advances computer technologies. However, comprehensive reviews hydrotherapy insufficient. Hence, this study reviewed status quo, mechanisms, adverse events contraindications, future prospects use hydrotherapy. This aims comprehensively review latest information regarding application musculoskeletal diseases, neurological COVID-19. We have attempted provide a "take-home message" applications mechanisms based on evidence available.

Lipid Accumulation Product (LAP), which is derived from measurements of waist circumference and triglyceride (TG) levels, serves as a comprehensive indicator lipid accumulation. Emerging research indicates that accumulation dysfunction might significantly contribute to the pathogenesis Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Nevertheless, investigation into association between LAP COPD risk still insufficient, particularly in population-based research. This intends examine possible correlation likelihood developing COPD. study, designed cross-sectional analysis, made use data gathered National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) spanning years 2017 2020, encompassing total 7,113 eligible participants. LAP, exposure variable, was calculated using concentration. diagnosis determined participants' self-reported information. To explore COPD, multivariate logistic regression models were applied, smoothing curve fitting employed any potential nonlinear patterns. Further analysis included stratified subgroup evaluations assess how variables such sex, smoking habits, alcohol intake impact relationship The findings indicated significant increase with each one-unit rise ln evidenced by an Odds Ratio (OR) 1.16 [95% Confidence Interval (CI): 1.04-1.30, p < 0.01]. Furthermore, quartile-based revealed individuals highest category had considerably higher compared those lowest category, OR 1.35 (95% CI: 1.04-1.75, P for trend <0.01). identified positive suggesting steeper values rise. Subgroup suggested this remained fairly consistent across various demographic groups. study found link levels elevated displaying pattern. As marker abnormalities, may serve valuable tool assessing could inform strategies early identification targeted clinical management.

INTRODUCTION. Regular physical exercise has a beneficial effect on health, affecting all body systems and reducing morbidity. Muscle fiber activity during helps reduce levels of inflammatory markers stimulate anti-inflammatory responses. The ability to maintain homeostasis while exercising adaptation exercises depend fitness, comorbidities other factors, so the program should be tailored individual. THE MAIN CONTENT OF REVIEW. Immune system activation in response is mediated by cytokine signaling. main source cytokines skeletal muscles themselves. Cytokines produced myocytes (myokines) muscle contraction play key role providing communication between working organs tissues. Numerous studies have shown positive moderate intensity myokine secretion. People with chronic infectious or non-infectious diseases often demonstrate low-grade systemic inflammation low circulating myokines. Moderate effects conditions diseases. Traditional Chinese exercises (TCEs), as a new technology for pulmonary rehabilitation, have been proven to be effective in patients with chronic obstructive disease (COPD). However, further aggravation of dynamic hyperinflation manifested exertional dyspnea during may limit the partial therapeutic efficacy TCEs on COPD. Acupuncture therapy, internationally recognized complementary and alternative can effectively improve degree dyspnea, it is expected serve an adjuvant therapy exercise training COPD fully realize training. Therefore, this study aims explore multidimensional multi-system effects combination pulmonary-based Qigong (PQ) acupuncture This protocol describes assessor-blinded, data analyst-blinded, four-arm randomized controlled trial that recruit 132 participants stable randomly allocate them into group, combined or control group at 1:1:1:1 ratio. All will receive usual medical care health education; those intervention groups PQ exercise, treatment, both treatments three times per week 8 weeks. The primary outcome endurance assessed by 6-min walk test. Secondary outcomes include lung function, diaphragmatic respiratory muscle strength, skeletal structure, psychological states, quality life. Exploratory levels inflammatory mediators. frequency severity acute exacerbations recorded baseline 1 year after intervention. findings clarify function provide evidence rehabilitation. https://www.chictr.org.cn, ChiCTR2300076255.

Abstract Background Cancer is a global health issue, and as conventional treatments' side effects become more noticeable, many patients turn to complementary therapies, especially traditional Chinese medicine exercises. These exercises help regulate the mind body, enhance immune function, alleviate effects. Despite their potential, bibliometric studies on this topic are limited. Methods This study analyzed literature from Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) 2011 2024, using VOSviewer CiteSpace explore research trends, academic impact, collaboration networks, keyword hotspots. Results A total 261 eligible articles were selected. Research relationship between cancer has shown yearly growth trend, with China United States making most significant contributions, particularly institutions like University Hong Kong Harvard Medical School, which play leading role in area. hotspots primarily focused rehabilitation, regulation, stress relief. Authors such Cheung Denise Shuk Ting Takemura Naomi have made substantial contributions topic, while Integrative Therapies stands out highest publication volume impact factor field. Conclusion The application adjunctive therapy gradually becoming hotspot. Bibliometric analysis revealed development trends frontier issues field, providing scientific evidence for future directions. There still great potential research, areas regulation psychological rehabilitation.
