Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is an ovarian health condition as well a long-term endocrine dysfunction that affects reproductive-aged women. Toll-like receptor 2 (TLR2) gene was linked to PCOS and chronic inflammation, the prevalence of obesity rising in Saudi Previous studies on rs5743708 polymorphism were documented In this study, we investigated molecular role TLR2 among women diagnosed with using Rotterdam criteria. Blood samples collected from 220 hospital-based case-control study; 110 remaining non-PCOS (control women). Biochemical analysis performed serum samples, EDTA blood. Genotyping for polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length analysis. both groups, clinical data calculated t-test, which revealed positive (p < 0.05) negative > associations. HWE supported 0.05). polymorphism, none genotypes, genetic models, or allele frequencies found be associated However, ANOVA regression analyses relationship weight BMI 0.0001). The not One predictions could 42.7% 73.6% obese, has been previous studies. This study suggests screening additional polymorphisms large sample size.

Background: Diabetes mellitus induces profound metabolic and endocrine alterations, impacting reproductive function through oxidative stress hormonal imbalances. This study investigated the effects of alloxan-induced diabetes on status in female Wistar rats. Methods: A synthetic sulfonamide derivative (compound S) was obtained via chemical synthesis characterized by elemental spectral analysis. Salvia officinalis extract phytochemically profiled using UHPLC-HRMS assessed for antioxidant potential DPPH, ABTS, FRAP assays. The compound plant extract, along with metformin were evaluated vivo their antihyperglycemic, hormone-regulating, properties., Serum levels progesterone, estradiol, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) alongside biomarkers transforming growth factor-beta 1 (TGF-β1) glutathione peroxidase 3 (GPX3). Results: Diabetic rats (untreated) exhibited a significant decrease estradiol (22.00 ± 4.1 pg/mL vs. 54.74 17.5 controls, p < 0.001) an increase progesterone (17.38 9.6 ng/mL 3.59 0.90 0.05), suggestive ovarian dysfunction. TGF-β1 elevated diabetic (27.73 19.4 21.55 13.15 while increased serum GPX3 (61.50 11.3 38.20 12.84 0.05) indicates enhanced stress. Statistical analysis revealed correlation between levels, FSH (p = −0.039), −0.025) group (L2). Conclusions: These findings contribute new evidence regarding hormones models.

Sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) is suggested to be a biomarker for metabolic disturbances in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Insulin resistance and hyperinsulinemia common PCOS patients. Low SHBG increases free testosterone levels, which further induces hyperinsulinemia. There no established cutoff level The goal of this study examine as dysregulation European relation hyperandrogenemia. Retrospective data was collected from the outpatient clinic menstrual cycle disorders at Maastricht University Medical Center+. 208 were included, aged between 18 40 years old. During one-time visit clinic, physical examination vaginal ultrasound evaluation performed well endocrine after overnight fast. diagnosed according Society Human Reproduction Embryology (ESHRE) 2018 guideline. BMI inversely associated (β -0.598, 95% CI [-0.710 -0.485]) waist circumference -0.604, [-0.715 -0.492]), even correction HOMA-IR testosterone. A <40 nmol/L significantly, unfavorably, all outcomes. Its AUROC optimal (sensitivity 0.75, specificity 0.82). levels are indicative PCOS. Waist an important predictor SHBG, comparable BMI. Visceral adiposity might play role expression etiology
