Sleep is a fundamental factor in an athlete's ability to sustain peak performance and endurance. Mindfulness, defined as state of intentional, non-judgmental awareness the present moment, has been linked positive effects on sleep. The study aims investigate which recovery sleep parameters are influenced by interindividual differences mindfulness tendencies intraindividual daily fluctuations mindfulness. A two-week continuous monitoring was conducted with 33 elite-level judoka (17 female, 16 male; age: M = 23.79, SD 3.05) competing at national international level. Data collection included objective via actigraphy subjective through morning evening self-report questionnaires. analyzed function both trait mindfulness, well behavioral factors such number training sessions, session intensity, implementation activities naps. Multilevel analyses revealed significant associations between qualitative parameters, recovery-stress states. Among facets, acting emerged strongest predictor. Background The most talented young athletes often face challenges related to sports health problems (ie, injury and illness), largely due inappropriate training, condensed competition schedules high demands. Previous preventive measures in Norway have lacked successful integration into athletes’ routines, highlighting the need for a systematic approach safeguarding their health. Objective To document development of Prep be PRO, an educational module-based programme, designed support protect enrolled junior schools academy schools. PRO aims empower with relevant knowledge skills prevent problems. Methods process, guided by Translating Research Injury Prevention Practice framework, involved extensive collaboration school leaders, coaches athletes. From June 2019 2023, process incorporated multidisciplinary input from more than 40 stakeholders, including personnel, as well experts science, nutrition psychology.
