Colleges and universities are currently facing the major public health issue of poor sleep quality. Sleep quality must be taken seriously to maintain students' emotional physical well-being. Thus, this study sought determine how university levels activity related their sleep, as well explore mechanisms via which affects provide suggestions for improving it. A total 883 students from Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, China participated in study. Their activity, quality, ruminative thinking levels, depression were assessed using various questionnaires. Through mediating effects rumination chain-mediated these two factors, exercise changed sleep. University can improved by increasing decreasing levels.

Self-harm is linked to numerous adverse health and social outcomes, including repetitive self-harm an increased risk of suicide. This study aims explore the influence chronotype on among adolescents further investigate mediating role sleep problems emotional symptoms. The was conducted between April June 2022, involving 13 junior senior high schools in Tianjin. participants were asked complete online questionnaires assessing chronotype, problems, depression, anxiety, self-harm. data analyzed processed using Spearman correlation mediation effect analysis. Two pathways tested: Model 1 with depression as mediators, 2 anxiety mediators. Participants comprised 13,374 Chinese middle school (6745 boys) aged 11-19 years. In 1, independent effects -0.216 (95% CI = [-0.263, -0.172]) -0.101 [-0.121, -0.083]), accounting for 33.33% 15.59% total effect, respectively. chain -0.170 [-0.196, -0.146]), 26.23% effect. 2, -0.232 [-0.279, -0.189]) -0.075 [-0.091, -0.059]), respectively 35.63% 11.52% -0.151 [-0.176, -0.128]), 23.20% Chronotype a significant predictor self-harm, later associated higher risk. Both symptoms independently serially mediate relationship These findings highlight complex through which influences behavior suggest potential targets intervention.

Academic burnout in nursing students is a serious problem worldwide that results emotional exhaustion, cynicism and low professional efficacy. The aim of the current study was to examine association between sleep quality circadian rhythm indicators academic among Iranian students. This cross-sectional conducted on 325 undergraduate studying at Qazvin University Medical Sciences November February 2023. Data collection carried out using self-report questionnaires including demographic characteristics, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), reduced-Morningness-Eveningness Questionnaire (r-MEQ), Maslach Burnout Inventory-Student Survey (MBI-SS). Social jetlag (SJL) defined as absolute value difference midpoint free days (MSF) workdays (MSW). were analyzed univariate multivariate linear regression models. About 31.4% participants had evening chronotype almost half them suffered from poor quality. 47.7% SJL ≥ 2 h. In model, with compared morning experienced more PSQI score only correlated exhaustion subscales. Increased predictor all three subscales burnout. findings suggested chronotype, quality, high associated increased likelihood Assessment preference beneficial for timely identification prevention

Purpose: To explore whether sleep electroencephalogram (EEG) microarousals of different standard durations predict daytime mood and attention performance in healthy individuals after mild restriction.Participants Methods: Sixteen (nine female) college students were recruited to examine the correlations between nocturnal EEG (≥3 s, ≥5 ≥7 ≥9 s) under restriction (1.5 h) following morning's subjective alertness, mood, sustained attention, selective task performance. Results: Results revealed that significantly reduced alertness positive while having no significant effect on negative performance. The number (≥5 was negatively associated with at 6:30.The positively correlated response time difference value disengagement component around 7:30 s 9:00 s).The (≥7 inaccuracy orientation 9:00. Conclusion:The during adults related their affect deterioration performance, but this link is dependent duration microarousals, test type task.
