Dentofacial inflammation resulting from untreated dental caries is a serious disease that can spread to deeper tissues of the neck and face. This study aimed analyze salivary cytokine profiles as potential biomarkers acute odontogenic infections in children. The group consisted 28 children aged 3–17 years old with dentofacial (DI) control (caries experience, CE) 52 4–17 uncomplicated caries. profile was analyzed using Bio-Plex Pro Human Cytokine 27-Plex kit saliva both groups. levels IL-4, IL-15, FGF-2, G-CSF, PDGF-BB were significantly increased compared group. In contrast, other cytokines, such IL-2, IL-7, IL-9, IL-13, GM-CSF, IFN-γ, did not show statistically significant differences between these two may serve selective oral cavity These be useful identifying monitoring progress treatment bacterial inflammation.
