After “Double Reduction” policy, teacher workload and stress have risen significantly. In Dongguan, a city actively implementing educational reforms, may be particularly concerning. Anxiety, depression, burnout prevalent issues. This study examined prevalence factors linked anxiety, among Dongguan Methods A cross-sectional survey evaluated of primary secondary school teachers in China, using two-stage random sampling. Eleven schools were randomly selected, with 30 chosen from each 330 invited participants, 313 completed (94.8% response rate), 259 valid responses retained after excluding incomplete or inconsistent answers. The used Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), Depression (SDS), Maslach Burnout Inventory-Educators Survey (MBI-ES). Wilcoxon rank-sum Kruskal–Wallis tests identified burnout. Variables p ≤ 0.10 univariate analysis included multivariate logistic regression, cut-offs 50 for SAS, 53 SDS, 27 Emotional Exhaustion (EE), 13 Depersonalization (DP), 31 Personal Accomplishment (PA). threshold was avoid omitting potential predictors. Results found rates 19.3%, 34.7%, 74.5%, respectively (95% CI: 14.5–24.1; 28.9–40.6; 69.2–79.9). Junior high (OR = 0.47) those higher education 0.39) had lower depression risk. Female 1.96) risk emotional exhaustion while older 0.923) reduced personal accomplishment depersonalization (DP) showed no significant associations. Conclusion teachers, influenced by level, type, sex, age. Authorities should address these clarifying responsibilities, providing training, establishing monitoring systems. As study, it cannot determine causality, further longitudinal research is needed confirm findings.
