ABSTRACT Thermal water desalination is based on the evaporation and condensation of water, such a process consumes lot energy, which lowers economy for commercial desalination. The objective this research to improve energy efficiency novel domestic unit, thermal desalination, done via utilization waste heat in generated steam reducing operating costs. distillation begins with solar-powered salty evaporator, followed by vapor coming from evaporator over cross-flow exchangers located condenser, preheats incoming saline saltwater tank before it enters evaporator. To assess system's performance, comprehensive measurements are taken, including electrical output photovoltaic (PV) panels volume distilled water. Notably, defined as ratio gained i.e. collected at end day, input electric heater, found be, average, 82%.

Cytotoxic antibiotics (CA) present a pressing environmental concern due to their persistence and potential adverse effects on ecosystems human health. Conventional wastewater treatment methods often fail effectively remove these compounds, making it necessary explore advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) as promising alternatives. This review aims synthesize global data the dosages concentrations of common CA in diverse water sources, while evaluating efficacy AOPs degrading contaminants. Various AOPs, including photocatalysis, ozonation, Fenton-like processes, or combination, are discussed, highlighting mechanisms efficiency eliminating cytotoxic from aqueous environments. In addition, information about degradation by-products is provided. The rising consumption drugs underscores need for this up-to-date review, diseases were used treatment, show increasing numbers. By consolidating recent developments outlining challenges opportunities, serves valuable resource researchers, engineers, policymakers involved mitigating impact through AOPs.

To fulfil the goals of circular economy, treatment textile wastewater should be focused on recovery valuable components. Monovalent anion-selective electrodialysis (MASED) was applied for separation reactive dyes from mineral salts. Standard cation-exchange membranes (CM membranes) and monovalent selective anion-exchange (MVA were used in (ED) stack. The efficiency evaluated model solutions various (varying molecular weight chemical reactivity) containing NaCl. Introduction Effective wastewater management remains a significant challenge in Pakistan, with conventional methods often falling short addressing the release of harmful pollutants into water bodies. Method This study explores use novel composite photocatalyst combining biochar, zinc oxide (ZnO), and copper diphenylamine (Cu-DPA) to improve treatment under visible light. The was prepared by varying Cu-DPA content ZnO, ratios 50%, 40%, 30%, 17%, alongside standard biochar ZnO formulations. Characterization techniques, including FTIR, XRD, UV-visible spectroscopy were used analyze composite's properties. Photocatalytic performance assessed degrading Methylene Blue, common dye pollutant, Results results showed that while alone achieved 78% degradation, composites different demonstrated efficiencies, biochar-enhanced ZnO/Cu-DPA achieving highest degradation rate 97% 80 min. Discussion exhibited good reusability over seven cycles. research highlights potential as an effective, eco-friendly solution for treatment, offering improvements photocatalytic sustainability.
