This study aims to develop an instrument that is valid and reliable measure the character of junior high school students. Failure to graduate on time is a problem for both the university and students themselves. Beside competencies possessed by students, many other factors affect completion of student studies. This study aims reduce variables that really The approach this research was survey Mathematics Education Study Program at least in semester 7 (currently taking final project course). There are 17 determine studies, namely achievement motivation, discipline, interest, intelligence, habits, health, part-time work activities, organizational curriculum, mentoring methods, relations with lecturers, availability books, internet facilities, family economic conditions, relationships parents members, friends, social environment. Data analysis conducted using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) method obtain dominant factor. Based results study, four main studies formed, namely: (1) first factor: motivation academic ability; (2) second activities environment; (3) third facilities family; (4) fourth thesis guidance. can explain factor 86.54%, details ability 37.57%, environment 26.34%, 15.21%, guidance 7.42%.
