Effect of the developed parallel process model on the resilience of spouses of post-traumatic stress disorder veterans: A quasi-experimental study

The
present
study
aims
to
determine
the
effect
of
developed
parallel
process
model
on
resilience
spouses
post-traumatic
stress
disorder
(PTSD)
veterans.
This
quasi-experimental
investigation
comprised
30
veterans
diagnosed
with
PTSD,
segregated
into
two
distinct
groups
during
year
2023:
an
intervention
group,
consisting
15
individuals,
and
a
control
group
equal
size.
To
gather
data
for
this
study,
demographic
questionnaire
capturing
information
age,
veteran
percentage,
education
level,
occupation,
alongside
Connor-Davidson
Resilience
Scale
(CD-RISC),
was
utilized.
Preceding
intervention,
exhibited
mean
score
45.06
(SD=3.82),
which
increased
61.13
(SD=4.92)
after
indicating
statistically
significant
difference
as
determined
by
paired
t-test
(P<0.01).
Conversely,
in
rate
46.53
(SD=5.71)
before
47.00
(SD=6.20)
intervention;
however,
did
not
reveal
(P=0.7).
In
sum,
implementation
educational
methodologies
grounded
theoretical
frameworks
cognitive
models
emerges
pivotal
factor
augmenting
adaptation
levels
grappling
PTSD.
