A positive educational environment in postgraduate medical education can immensely affect academic outcomes and lower residents' chances of burnout. However, no studies were conducted Kuwait to examine the its association with well-being. This study aims investigate between current learning well-being trainees who are having rotations hospitals Kuwait. cross-sectional survey was distributed all residents currently enrolled dental programs. The included Postgraduate Hospital Educational Environment Measure (PHEEM) World Health Organization (WHO)-5 Well-Being Index. Pearson's correlation coefficient used measure two quantitative variables, linear regression analysis assess factors associated score. 184 residents. mean scores for role autonomy perception, teaching social support perception 31.28 ± 11.33, 35.15 13.72, 23.14 8.57, respectively, a total PHEEM score 89.58 32.2. Residents' ranged from 5 25, 12.26 4.35. In analysis, increased autonomy, teaching, higher multivariable model, each one-unit increase significantly by 0.16 (95%CI: 0.03 0.3, P = 0.014), which indicates elements study's limitations, including small sample size nonresponse bias, should be considered. COVID-19 added responsibilities to faculty in health-related fields. Educators these areas have experienced pandemic-related role strain both the clinical and academic settings.This investigation sought identify how health science at one institution perceived challenges related pandemic their glean opportunities for institutions increase degree of support faculty.An analysis narrative comments was conducted on a survey assessing burnout well-being. The distributed full-time within College Health Sciences four-year institution. Using work-life model as guide, two free-text questions were analysed major themes.39 participants contributed responses qualitative, open-ended questions. Three themes emerged categories: imbalance, stress unwellness, unmet needs. Strategies enhanced well-being noted be workload management, administrative support, wellness opportunities.This provides insight into why may experiencing feelings disengagement exhaustion work. Informed by a conceptual framework initially developed addressing worker wellbeing the healthcare sector, another sector where workers stress, this article explores how educator is influenced factors within teaching environment, institutional environment and external environment. Through an integrative review existing literature, synthesises findings to identify work system factors, individual outcomes consequences across these domains. Abstract Introduction The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted research globally. How it impacted Canadian early-career health researchers (ECHRs) remains unclear. We administered a survey to understand the composition of ECHRs in Canada, their job experiences, and experiences burnout during pandemic. Methods A cross-sectional was conducted May 2023 defined as within 7 years first independent position. Quantitative analyses included description respondents by pillar, socio-demographic workplace characteristics, prevalence burnout, disengagement or exhaustion. Sample characteristics were compared national data on from funding agency. Thematic analysis free-text responses also conducted. Results total 225 met eligibility criteria. Most assistant professors our sample like data. posed many challenges student recruitment, emotional support students, with over half reporting moderate significant decline mental pre-pandemic. proportion experiencing high (62%, 95%CI:56-67%), exhaustion (64%, 95%CI: 57-70%) (91%, 87-95%). identified three themes: ongoing benefits/problems preceding pandemic, unintended outcomes strategies manage/prevent/contain COVID-19, reasons stay current Conclusions Our revealed that reported diverse putting sustainability this workforce at risk.
