The range of benefits associated with regular physical activity participation is irrefutable. Despite the well-known benefits, inactivity remains one major contributing factors to ill-health throughout industrialized countries. Traditional lifestyle interventions such as group education or telephone counseling are effective at increasing participation; however, levels tend decline over time. Consumer-based wearable trackers that allow users objectively monitor now widely available and may offer an alternative method for assisting individuals remain physically active. This review aimed determine effects utilizing consumer-based on sedentary behavior when compared do not utilize tracker feedback.A systematic was performed searching following databases studies included use a improve participation: Cochrane Controlled Register Trials, MEDLINE, PubMed, Scopus, Web Science, Cumulative Index Nursing Allied Health Literature, SPORTDiscus, Technology Assessments. trials adults comparing other nonactivity tracker-based were included. main outcome measures behavior. Numerous wrist-wearable devices to measure physical activity are currently available, but there is a need unify the evidence on how they compare in terms of acceptability and accuracy. The aim this study perform systematic review literature assess accuracy (willingness use device for task it designed support) trackers. We searched MEDLINE, Embase, Cochrane Central Register Controlled Trials, SPORTDiscus studies measuring general population using trackers. We screened articles inclusion and, included studies, reported data studies' setting population, outcome measured, risk bias.A total 65 were our review. Accuracy was assessed 14 different outcomes, which can be classified following categories: count specific activities (including step counts), time spent being active, intensity energy expenditure), heart rate, distance, speed. Substantial clinical heterogeneity did not allow us meta-analysis results. The outcomes most frequently counts, expenditure. For Fitbit Charge (or HR) had mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) <25% across 20 studies. Apple Watch MAPE <10% 2 expenditure, >30% all brands, showing poor devices. Acceptability measured through availability wearing time. Data ≥75% HR, Flex 2, Garmin Vivofit. 89% both GENEActiv Nike FuelBand. The HR consistently shown have good counts rate. Chronic diseases contribute to high rates of disability and mortality. Patient engagement in chronic disease self-management is an essential component models health care. Wearables provide patient-centered data real time, which can help inform decision-making. Despite the perceived benefits wearables improving self-management, their influence on care outcomes remains poorly understood. This review aimed examine individuals with through a systematic literature.A narrative was conducted by searching 6 databases for randomized observational studies published between January 1, 2016, July 2021, that included use wearable intervention group assess its impact predefined outcome measure. Abstract The use of low sub-perceptual doses psychedelics (“microdosing”) has gained popularity in recent years. Although anecdotal reports claim multiple benefits associated with this practice, the lack placebo-controlled studies severely limits our knowledge microdosing and its effects. Moreover, research conducted standard laboratory settings could fail to capture motivation individuals engaged or planning engage protocols, thus underestimating likelihood positive effects on creativity cognitive function. We recruited 34 starting microdose psilocybin mushrooms ( Psilocybe cubensis ), one materials most frequently used for purpose. Following a double-blind experimental design, we investigated acute short-term 0.5 g dried subjective experience, behavior, (divergent convergent thinking), perception, cognition, brain activity. reported were significantly more intense active dose compared placebo, but only participants who correctly identified their condition. These changes accompanied by reduced EEG power theta band, together preserved levels Lempel-Ziv broadband signal complexity. For all other measurements there was no effect except few small towards impairment. Abstract Background Several systematic reviews (SRs), with and without meta-analyses, have investigated the use of wearable devices to improve physical activity, there is a need for frequent updated syntheses on topic. Objective We aimed evaluate whether using increased activity reduced sedentary behaviour in adults. Methods conducted an umbrella review searching PubMed, Cumulative Index Nursing Allied Health Literature, Cochrane Library, MedRxiv, Rxiv bioRxiv databases up February 5th, 2023. included all SRs that evaluated efficacy interventions when were used measure adults aged over 18 years. The primary outcomes measured as number steps per day, minutes moderate vigorous (MVPA) week, (SB) day. assessed methodological quality each SR Assessment Multiple Systematic Reviews, version 2 (AMSTAR 2) certainty evidence outcome GRADE (Grading Recommendations, Assessment, Development, Evaluations). interpreted results decision-making framework examining clinical relevance concordances or discordances effect size. Results Fifty-one included, which 38 meta-analyses (302 unique studies). Of SRs, 72.5% rated ‘critically low quality’. Overall, slight overlap studies (corrected cover area: 3.87% 3.12% MVPA, 4.06% SB) low-to-moderate evidence, WDs may increase PA by median 1,312.23 (IQR 627–1854) day 57.8 37.7 107.3) week MVPA.
