BACKGROUND The World Health Organization has recently raised concerns regarding the low number of people fully vaccinated against COVID-19. ratio and emergence renewed infectious variants correspond to worsening public health. Global health managers have highlighted COVID-19 vaccine–related infodemics as a significant risk perception factor hindering mass vaccination campaigns. OBJECTIVE Given ambiguous digital communication environment that fostered infodemics, resource-limited nations struggle boost willingness encourage vaccinate. Authorities launched some communication–laden interventions in response infodemics. However, value strategies used tackle needs be evaluated. current research using tenets Situational Theory Problem Solving is novel, it explores impending effects strategies. relationship between infodemic-induced vaccine safety actions intensify was examined. METHODS This study cross-sectional design vis-à-vis nationally representative web-based survey. We collected data from 1946 internet users across Pakistan. Participants voluntarily participated this after completing consent form reading ethical permissions. Responses were received over 3 months, May 2022 July 2022. RESULTS results delineated positively affected perception. realization pushed engage risky communicative through reliance on searches for accurate information. Therefore, prospect managing information exposure (eg, interventions) situational context could predict robust CONCLUSIONS These pioneering offer strategic considerations authorities effectively manage descending spiral optimal protection concludes likelihood relevant improve one’s knowledge forfending selection, which can lead Hence, more situation-specific about underlying problem (ie, selection an appropriate vaccine) made accessible several official sources achieve active response.

Phase 1 involved semistructured qualitative interviews with key informants explore effective RCIM strategies across settings framework. 2 revising based on feedback from an online expert panel regarding its comprehensiveness validity. Setting Provincial/national Iran. Participants Twenty provincial national authorities who contributed response programmes participated interviews. Nine experts diverse academic disciplines, settings, geographical locations panel. Results model created discussions structured according six pillars of WHO system framework: leadership governance, information, workforce financial resources, along media community. Leadership including trustworthy leaders, were recommended as foundation developing Developing official strategy information infrastructures, high-quality surveillance systems, identified personnel training specialists workforce, channels community engagement recognised dimensions Conclusion proposed represents step toward establishing Further validation experiments how it potentially influence practice is recommended. has be applied contexts current form or customised local versions.

Misinformation related to vaccines has been shown potentially negatively impact public perceptions and intentions vaccinate in many contexts including COVID-19 vaccination Ghana. Psychological inoculation - where recipients are warned about the misleading techniques used misinformation is a potential intervention which could preemptively boost resistance against misinformation. Cranky Uncle Vaccine an interactive, digital game that applies inoculation, offering scalable tool building resilience vaccine promoting positive health-related behaviors. In this study, we document process of developing testing West African version Vaccine, with co-design workshops pilot test conducted urban peri-urban areas Greater Accra region Ghana 829 young people who had access mobile computer devices. The average age was 21.8 participants were highly educated (median education level "Some/all university") slightly more females (51.2%) than males (48.4%). Pilot filled out surveys before after playing game, measuring attitudes (pre-game M = 3.4, post-game 3.6), intent get vaccinated 3.5, discernment between facts fallacies AUC 0.72, 0.75). We observed significant improvement toward vaccines, players demonstrating increased likelihood completing game. Among indicated they unlikely pre-game survey (N 52, or 6.3% participants), just over half these (53%) switched likely Perceived reliability remained same, while perceived significantly decreased, indicating improved ability spot arguments vaccines. These results demonstrate effectiveness as well improving vaccinated.

Abstract Background: Ghana became the first nation in Sub-Saharan Africa to receive coronavirus vaccine, however, as of December 2023, only 44.3% Ghanaians had received at least two doses COVID-19 vaccines, with vaccine hesitancy reported 52.2%. This research aimed examine reasons for among farmers Northern Ghana. Methods: The study adopted a concurrent embedded mixed methods design which simultaneously collects qualitative and quantitative data. sampling participants was purposive, targeting five Farmer Based Organizations (FBOs). 24 were interviewed 30-45 minutes. transcripts imported into NVIVO version 14 analysis using Braun & Clarke's Reflexive Thematic analysis. Results: farmers' interviews revealed six themes related hesitancy: availability access, misconception about virus, preference universal brand, perceived side effects, fear death negative experiences, belief non-existence For findings, farmers’ current perspectives towards varied. About 37.5% would postpone receiving, 16.7% decline vaccination. About, 12.5% expressed some degree positivity vaccines. Meanwhile, 58.3% stated that currently unimportant. uptake northern has stalled due lack information virus no longer exists.
