Vaccine hesitancy poses a substantial threat to efforts mitigate the harmful effects of COVID-19 pandemic. To combat vaccine hesitancy, officials in United States issued mandates, which were met with strong antivaccine discourse on social media platforms such as Reddit. Corpus linguistics investigates language using extensive text databases. Tools assist researchers in analyzing, extracting, and interpreting linguistic information efficiently. Furthermore, if only use traditional tools corpus analysis, they will lack the comprehensiveness efficiency required to effectively navigate derive valuable insights from data. This paper employed preferred reporting items for systematic reviews meta-analyses (PRISMA) approach find primary data based on a few keywords linguistic, computational corpora tool support. Based this method, we used advanced searching techniques Scopus Web of Science (WoS) discovered (N=28) pertinent study. Background Public attitudes toward health issues are becoming increasingly polarized, as seen in social media comments, which vary from supportive to oppositional and frequently include uncivil language. The combined effects of comment slant tone on behavior among a polarized public need further examination. Objective This study aims examine how users’ prior mask wearing their exposure mask-wearing–promoting post, synchronized with hostile discussions, affect compliance wearing. Methods was web-based survey experiment participants recruited Amazon Mechanical Turk. A total 522 provided consent completed the study. Participants were assigned read fictitious post either civil anti–mask-wearing comments (130/522, 24.9%), pro–mask-wearing (129/522, 24.7%), (131/522, 25.1%), or (132/522, 25.3%). Following this, asked complete self-assessed questionnaires. PROCESS macro SPSS (model 12; IBM Corp) used test 3-way interaction between slant, tone, participants’ presumed influence behavioral intention comply mask-wearing. Results Anti–mask-wearing led users presume less about others’ acceptance masks (B=1.49; P<.001; 95% CI 0.98-2.00) resulted decreased mask-wearing (B=0.07; P=.03; 0.01-0.13).
