Abstract For time-sensitive treatment of a patient with malignant melanoma, physicians must obtain rapid overview the patient’s status. This study aimed to analyze context-specific features and processes at point care derive requirements for dashboard granting more straightforward access information. The Think-Aloud method, contextual inquiries, interviews were performed from Department Dermatology University Hospital Essen in Germany. user statements observations that obtained grouped categorized using an affinity diagram. Based on derived subjects, defined, confirmed, prioritized. resulting diagram revealed four topics importance care. These are “Identifying Processing Important”, comprehensive “Patient Record”, tasks challenges “Clinical Routine”, interactions experiences available “Systems”. All aspects have been reflected 135 developing context- indication-specific dashboards. Our work has elucidated most important consider when designing improves by enabling focus relevant Furthermore, it demonstrated often mentioned not can be generalized other medical contexts.
