Background Aging brings physical and life changes that could benefit from eHealth services. holistically combines technology, tasks, individuals, contexts, all these intertwined elements should be considered in development. As users’ needs change with situations, including aging retirement, it is important to identify at different stages develop services for well-being active, healthy lives. Objective This study aimed (1) understand older adults’ everyday lives terms of health, (2) investigate services, (3) create design recommendations based on the findings. Methods A total 20 adults 2 age groups (55 74 years: n=12, 60%; >75 n=8, 40%) participated this qualitative interview study. The study identifies the predictors of four patterns shift in Internet use and frequency among older adults from pre-COVID-19 to later stages pandemic. Our data included 4699 participants a nation-wide panel study, Japan Gerontological Evaluation Study 2019 2022. findings demonstrated that 322 1884 (17.1%) nonusers initiated 2019, while 418 2815 (14.8%) users discontinued 2019. Older age, low education, population density predicted less initiation, greater discontinuation, increase, more decrease use. Participation social activities lower Social support was associated with increase use; associations varied by source support. Digital divide exacerbated socioeconomic disparities. Engagement targeted may help bridge this divide.

Background : We aimed to develop and validate a multivariable model for predicting dropout from community-based going-out program older adults. Methods The National Center Geriatric Gerontology’s Study of Syndromes, with prospective cohort general adults, was employed. A total 5905 adults who were independent in their activities daily living recruited randomly allocated into training, validation, testing data sets 6:2:2 ratio. An outcome defined as dropping out within 180 days. extreme gradient boosting algorithm used the predictive using training validation identify feature importance. model’s discrimination calibration evaluated test set. Results area under curve receiver operating characteristic ( 95% CI) 0.701 (0.670–0.732). Sensitivity, specificity, positive value, negative value CIs 0.253 (0.226–0.277), 0.915 (0.899–0.931), 0.588 (0.560–0.612), 0.718 (0.692–0.743), respectively, slope plot 1.046 (0.909–1.182). Cognitive physical functions willingness engage exercise/sport selected most important features. Conclusions reliably indicates whether participant will drop when classified but not positive. Physical cognitive activity may be primary predictors.

Abstract This study aimed to investigate the relationship between pre-pandemic objective and subjective cognitive functioning sustained Internet use during pandemic among older adults in Switzerland. Data from 1299 respondents of Survey Health, Ageing Retirement Europe (SHARE) 2019/2020 a supplementary technology questionnaire 2021 were used. Cognitive was assessed through measures (delayed immediate memory, verbal fluency) self-rated memory. Sustained defined as having used at least once past seven days reporting daily or weekly 2021. We found that 73.1% consistently Using multivariable probit regression models controlling for sociodemographic health variables, we higher global cognition z-scores, especially delayed associated with likelihood use. Additionally, good, very excellent memory more likely sustain their These findings highlight potential critical role shaping adults’ digital engagement, suggesting assessments training should be further considered literacy initiatives this population.
