The L2 Motivational Self System (L2MSS) determines an individual's motivation in second language learning and influences the experience intended effort. Although physical activity (PA) has been shown to enhance academic efficacy, role of PA whether it promotes efficacy not elucidated. Therefore, present study examined as a mediator explored its ameliorative effects L2MSS. A total 981 international students from different countries were selected 8 universities Beijing research subjects surveyed by International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), L2MSS, Learning Experience Scale, Intended Effort Scale. Differences, correlations, mediated model analyzed ANOVA, Pearson, structural equation modeling (SEM). proportions this comparable those observed previous studies, with lowest prevalence individuals exhibiting high levels PA, followed medium levels, highest low levels. With exception ideal self, had significant enhancing effect on experience, effort (F = 2.36, η²=0.05, ; F 3.16, η²=0.04, 2.33, η²=0.05; P < 0.05), was incrementally associated ought-to l2 endeavor degree, time spent 4.23, 7.21, 5.93, η²=0.03; 0.01). In terms there general positive correlations between rest indicators (r > 0.3, except for desire self 0.293). According SEM test, addition direct L2MSS effort, following paths existed: (1) ILS→PA→IE (effect=-0.265, ratio 31.28%, 95%CI=[0.124, 0.527]), (2) OLS→PA→IE (effect 0.179, 17.94%, 95%CI=[0.074, 0.256]), (3) ILS→PA→LE→IE 0.116, 10.69%, 95%CI=[0.042, 0.248]), (4) OLS→PA→LE→IE 0.108, 4.15%, 95%CI=[0.039, 0.126]). indirect effect为0.304 (ratio 59.61%, 95%CI=[0.069, 0.289]). increasing level increased significance effect. positively predicts is important process that so MPA at least 3 days week can increase efficiency learning. This will provide referable predictive richer theoretical foundation Chinese dissemination.

Owing to the prevalence of maternal mental health problems and negative effects on both mothers infants, this research was conducted analyze symptoms emotion its trajectories during childbirth. In prospective study, Women undergoing vaginal delivery in full-term single pregnancies were enrolled. Symptoms process childbirth through scale Profile Mood States (POMS), encompassing seven dimensions: nervousness, anger, fatigue, depression, confusion, vigour, self-esteem. All participants evaluated for their mood state three times, latency period (T1), active (T2), immediate postpartum (T3). 244 pregnant women included. Before delivery, there fatigue other emotions. As progressed, emotional intensified, particularly accompanied by a marked decline vigour. Once over, gradually calmed down, mainly positive emotions observed. There an evident association between vigour only at T3. Confusion, nervousness constituted core symptom group labor, affecting women. network diagrams periods all stable. labor. Attaching more importance effect social psychological factors childbirth, conducting education, adopting case management is imperative. ChiCTR2000038546; 23/09/2020.

For international students coming to China, the process of learning Chinese is very difficult. At same time, chronic academic underachievement can lead aggressive behavior (AB). Although physical activity (PA) has been shown improve performance and psychological well-being, its effectiveness in language AB not clarified. Therefore, present study examined PA as main variable explored dosage profile alleviation AB. A total 964 from different countries 8 universities Beijing were selected population assessed using International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), Buss-Perry Aggression (BPAQ) Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) for 3 longitudinal follow-ups. Analyses variance, correlations path models performed ANOVA, Pearson cross-lagged panel model (CLPM). Background Emotional well-being interventions lead to better mental and physical health. However, most of these have been tested on relatively homogeneous samples, with few large enough examine whether key sociodemographic factors impact outcomes. In addition, barriers engagement include access high participant burden. We developed a brief web-based intervention address the effects across groups. Objective The study aims effectiveness brief, low-burden digital in improving emotional health-related outcomes diverse global sample. It investigates how factors, such as age, sex, race ethnicity, education, financial strain, subjective social status, moderate effects. goal is identify which groups benefit most, informing scalability public health potential interventions. Methods conducted single-group pre-post spanning from 2022 2024 using web-based, multicomponent, week-long requiring 5 10 minutes daily activity (the Big Joy Project). Using convenience sample recruited via open enrollment, we assessed changes well-being, positive emotions, happiness agency, perceived stress, self-reported health, sleep quality. At baseline, participants also reported characteristics. used mixed-effects linear models moderators. Results (N=17,598) consisted individuals 169 countries territories, broad representation groups; however, was predominantly White, female, had at least school or college education. Following intervention, showed significant within-subjects effect size increases (dz=0.48; P<.001), emotions (dz=0.45; agency (dz=0.44; P<.001). Furthermore, decrease stress (dz=–0.35; P<.001) an increase (dz=0.07; quality (dz=0.15; There clear dose-response pattern outcomes: who engaged more practices greater improvements. strong disadvantage moderating effects, experiencing showing larger benefits For example, those lower status identifying racial ethnic minority (Black Hispanic) all improvements younger people decreases compared older people. Conclusions A low-intensity meaningful comparable seen longer, intensive Sociodemographic that are higher risk poor benefited highlighting its for scalable impact. Testing this randomized controlled trial design will be important.

Introduction Sleep quality (SQ) is an important factor affecting the life and academic performance of secondary school students, it has been found that spare-time exercise (STE) can improve SQ, but psychological mechanism timeliness have not elucidated. Therefore, this study analyzed using cross-lagged panel model (CLPM) parallel latent growth modeling (PLGM). Methods A total 894 students from six schools in Beijing, China, participated study. Participants were monitored over time through three 4-month intervals (T1, T2, T3) International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) Pittsburgh Quality Index (PSQI). Data analysis was conducted Pearson's test, CLPM, PLGM. Results Correlation results showed a significant negative correlation between STE SQ across 3 measures ( r = [−0.31, −0.14]; P < 0.01). PSQI linear decreasing trend (slope −0.04, 0.01) increasing 0.02, among periods. CLPM initial level negatively predicted subsequent rate (β −0.20, The significantly later β −0.06, (4) predictor −0.17, Conclusion (1) Initial levels development course study, higher may protective levels. (2) effect on more stable, predicting at next point for all measurements. other hand, had no changes STE. (3) decreases time, so continued intensity are key to improving SQ.

While digital positive psychology interventions demonstrate effectiveness in promoting wellbeing and reducing illbeing the general population, their mechanisms of change are relatively underexplored. The promotive intervention, Five Ways to Wellbeing for All (5waysA), has been shown effective (effect sizes from .20 .49) a large (N= 963) randomized controlled trial (Prydz et al., 2024). In present study, Network Intervention Analysis (NIA) was applied identify associations putative linking 5waysA intervention set outcomes. Following 10-week period, NIA revealed that only emotions on an aggregate level were conditionally dependent treatment allocation variable. These findings suggest primarily reflects direct enhancement emotions. Our provide insights potential importance advancing theoretical framework other mental health interventions.
